Chrono Trigger is a modern day masterpiece that was released during the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. While I personally haven't played the original version, I have played the DS version way back in 2008 or so. I can attest that this game is indeed the hype that its fans makes it out to be. With fluid combat that takes place in real time, an amazingly catchy soundtrack, and amazing characters, and a layered story, this game has it all. There's also like 13 endings as well. Trust me, this game is worth every penny.

For those of us who bought the game and can't seem to get it to run, I'll reiterate what user "Ok_status_1982" on Reddit said that helped me get the game running-- open up your notepad app, save it as "libEGL.dll" and place that file in your copy of Chrono Trigger's files. Should help you out.

Thank you for reading, and I hope the memories you make with this game are as pleasant as mine all those years ago.

This game literally raised me as a guy raised in the early 2000s. I wasted hundreds of hours just vibing in Station Square alone. It is a lot more janky than I remember it being, but it was and still is an absolute gem. Yes, the camera is frustrating. Yes, you can end up dying to absolute crap straight out of the bull. But, despite it all, there's just heart in this game. Heart that many games today can take inspiration from.

Then again, I played this game a s a child in the early 2000s, I could be glazing for all you know. Just remember when you're raging at falling to the abyss for the 14th time-- this game is as old as a majority of adults today. It's a product of its time!

My fiancee literally relates to Nicole to an unhealthy degree and I relate to the whorish principal.

Ark Mobius is a very solid albeit short game. Its a very fun "follow the beat" kind of game that is fairly easy but is also very forgiving for those who are new to these kinds of games. There are some flaws, obviously. In my opinion, for the final fight against the main antagonist, I felt as if it was a missed opportunity to have the girl you have selected in the main menu of the game fight with you, it could make the final battle much more impactful, but that's just a nitpick.
Characters are also a bit flat-- personality wise I mean. Their thunder melons can fill both hands. Jokes aside though, I felt as if the story could have been bolstered a bit with additional levels explaining the characters a bit more. I say this because well, during the characters' endings, (specifically the tragic ones), all we really know about them is that they have parent issues or that they have to let an old man diddly them. Of course though, I'm sure most of us just wanted to send the girls to Pleasure Town so I guess this point of feedback is pointless, heh.
The art of the game is GORGEOUS! Especially for a first game! My favorite girl in the game is Sylph and well, let's just say I enjoyed her H scenes a bit too much. I really liked how the expressions of the girls changed depending on how fast you went. If you really enjoy ahegao faces then you'll like this game its pretty full of them towards the end.
Gameplay wise, I loved this game, its a fun rhythm game where you just have to match the beat. Pretty easy in my opinion, but there is an option to basically cheat yourself to victory if you are not very good at these kinds of games. The H scenes are a bit interactive as well, but uhhh I will not go into too much detail as I'm sure you've seen some of them from screenshots.
The music and sound is top notch. My favorite song is from one of the Chiyuki missions, it was a minute long and it just stays in my head to this day! Not only that, but the composer is a straight up musical genius. I am sure that even if you are only in this game for the H scenes, the music will have you like that one meme of Ash Ketchum just sitting there nude enjoying the rest of the plot.
I may be a bit biased because this game was my very first H game ever, but I would say Ark Mobius is ultimately a 9/10. It is an amazing game by developer Yellow Duck Works. The localization could use a little work, at least on the English version because the English is a bit choppy/hard to understand (as of when I played it). However, it more than makes up for that with fantastic gameplay, a decent story, very detailed (sexy) scenes, and a very memorable soundtrack (in my humble opinion). I bought this game on opening week just because I thought a rhythm game would be nice to kill time, but ultimately Ark Mobius turned out to be a fun game to not only kill time with, but also a game that has the potential to gain a cult following.
I am pretty excited for the developer's next game-- H or not. They set the bar pretty high for themselves and I am wondering how they will surpass themselves.

(If this review is badly formatted, my apologies, this is my first serious review.)

Very fun game. Very graphic, although if you are in a bad spot in life, then perhaps this is the stress relief you need. Game is a bit hard but once you get used to it, it gets progressively easier. I beat the game within three hours so fairly short. Story is great too. Loved playing during my years in Community college.

You can do whatever you want, be whatever character you like. The game is the very definition of "sandbox". You do whatever you can think of honestly!
