I was only 9 years old. I loved Quake so much, I had the unauthorized map packs and the steel-cased Q3A box. I pray to Quake every night before bed, thanking him for the life I've been given. “Quake is love" I say; "Quake is life". My dad hears me and calls me a telefragger. I know he was just jealous of my devotion for Quake. I called him a moocher. He owns me and sends me to go to the menu screen. I'm crying now, and my id hurts. I sit in the hub area and it's really cold. Suddenly, a warmth is moving towards me. It's Quake! I am so happy. He whispers into my ear "This is my map."
