As someone who claims their favorite game is Silent Hill 2 and believed in Bloober's capabilities since the remake's announcement... my expectations still managed to be blown through the roof. Combat and dodging mechanics are smooth and engaging while meshing perfectly with the claustrophobic indoor spaces of Silent Hill. The story is as emotionally effective as the original while the updated graphics, performance capture, sound design and other modernizations allow me to sink deeper than ever into James's heart-rending nightmare. Absolutely worth your 70 dollars.
