Unpopular opinion but I am not recommending the game not because of the water mechanic, it is easy and the lost progress in minimal.
I can't not recommend the game in its current state to anyone due to how easy it actually is. I was coming in expecting a ball busting experience where I am but a mere scav looting corpses for the couple of rounds at the bottom of magazines at best and getting completely ♥♥♥♥ on 70 to 90% of each "raid".

However the game is not there the advertisement of "You are not this guy" is far from the truth. You are that guy, grandpa luggin a massive carrier can wipe experienced platoons as if they were not a threat at all. This game needs more time in the oven and if you want to support it for further development I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. Hopefully this will become a miserable time but that one extract with good gear/supplies will give highs like the hardest drugs on earth.

Was fun once I got in. I will stick around and play it some more.
Though I did not know it was a squad sized objective based shooter, while fun I came into it thinking it was more a large scale battle type of game with large teams pushing main objectives against the bug onslaught such as Battlefields conquest or Squad. Still a great experience.

There is a lot to unpack here and while I appreciate the classic "figure it out" aspect it can be annoying for most players.
Just take it easy, slow down and focus on one goal at a time. It is very easy to spiral out of control going down many steps just to reach your original one.

The game is solid 8/10

Brutally difficult and brutally fun.
There is plenty risk/reward going on and you have to think critically about most of the actions you take.
It improves on the first game 10 fold and if you evens lightly enjoyed the first game than you will love this.

Every little quirk with the game will hopefully get polished out in EA and nothing is game breaking.

After buying this game a year or two ago I though I would love the idea. It really has a lot to offer and I kept it on my log checking in once in awhile. Here we are today V1.32 is out and it still feels like an Early Access title. Like the foundation for a great game is all there though it is a chore to play. Battles are slow, enemy and friendly AI is braindead, weapons are dissapointing, the translation is pretty bad for a fully released title and with the first mod being released and not even working shows how much the devs care. I would avoid for another year or 2 and see if it has gotten any better.

Do not listen to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate speak. This game is gold, set the graphics low if your pc can not handle it and go to town. Most of the people who complain use high setting because they like to complain? Anyways great game that runs very well load time into matchs is less than 15 seconds.

I liked this game for many reasson, it has unlimited replayability with every experience being new. To me that is vital in a game. While it may say I only have 27 hours I have well over a 500 or so as I got it when I was just a kid and played on CD for many years. Enough about me though, we are talking about the game.


This game has had many issues with it along with many pros. When it was first released there was much back lash on the scientific problems with the game. Such as how the comets tails face the wrong way and a lot of people felt as if they were cheated. From what I understand this was advertised as The Sims only in a global way. custimization and such was supposed to be through the roof while it may apeearr not true I find it to be as close to that as it can be. For the technology that was available when the game was produced.


The game was far ahead of its time and if remade with modern technology it would take the world by storm. I would not be suprised if No Mans Sky got ideas from this game. Finding houndreds of creatures that the creators have made and back when multiplayer was still supported you could find an endless amount from simple to very complex creatures, maybe even considered artistic. I can still remember one I found named boot wjich indeed looked like a boot to every detail. That is the thing about the game. You can slap on the best parts and have a beast machine but you will most likely not like it asthetically.

While the cartoony graphics may push off more mature players my younger self did not care. They can be a bit hard to get use to and may drive some off but maybe not. My big issue is the Space age stage. While everyone is different I find it to be the worst part about the game and it makes up well over 70% of a play through if not more. The space is is grindy and very very long. It makes up for it by having a lot to do I find it to be to drug out. You can only buy planets at such a rate and travel so far with out going to war for resources or to level up. For instance on the 27 hours I have on here roughly 20 or more were in the space age and I have got alomost nowhere. That may be me though I know people who hate it and people who love it.

Anyway I would rate the game a solid 8/10 because if you do not like the space age you can always restart.
