Quick thoughts. Will give it another couple of hours and hopefully not be a doomer.

Frames are great... outside any city or outpost. 60 to even 100 fps smooth running around and fighting mobs but the moment inside a town i'm getting sub 40. Overall game looks okay. Graphics seem fitting for what the game is, definitely a difference from cut-scene to game play though. Lip syncing is off and characters have an odd looking face while talking most of the time.

Combat ( only tried Fighter so far cause i love sword & board ) is not very good. Auto targeting mobs but I can't target what I want freely is ass being a tank. Let me tab through targets. Fighting big mobs is fun being able to latch onto them. Also getting stun locked by mobs is extremely annoying. Holy hell knocked into a wall and getting downed is a snoozefest. Maybe I need more time to adapt but its just been extremely frustrating.

NPC helpers are a little stupid but they are trying their best. Get stuck on terrain sometimes or cant figure out how to navigate elevation.

Whoever designed the keybindings for things is off their rocker. Why is 'Tab' and 'm' key bound to opening the map? I can't seem to unbound Tab to open the generic menu instead. Speaking of, there is no keybind for opening the item menu. Really annoying having to open the menu then go to items then click on whatever I need.

TLDR: Don't buy game, yet. They need to fix frame issues and personally they need some QOL changes for simple things

While being a short game ( i beat it in ~4 hours and only getting 81% memory completion )I really enjoyed the gameplay and the story. Learning everything from either the NPCs or the snippets of lore around the area with memories was a neat way to learn about what is happening in Walled City 99

I am trying to enjoy this game, but every time I can *almost* overlook the issues, i'm hit with yet annoying bug that just ruins it.

The Audio and Visuals for this game are amazing. By far the 2 things that pull this game into a good light for me. The game looks visually beautiful, from Old Villedor to Central Loop. Along with the sounds of the city, fighting, zombies, other humans, and I cannot forget the soundtrack. Every song from the first to the ending credits (which i've added to my own personal playlist) are the best to fit each situation. I am damn near fully immersed into this experience.

Gameplay wise this game is decent at best. There are a lot of choices that I either don't agree with, or make no sense to me. Like, Aiden has been traveling how many kilometers now and we have to LEARN how to crouch slide, or to even sprint? That makes no sense. The night time mechanic in this game is an interesting change from the First game. However, Techland couldn't capitalize on it. Out of all of the special infected, there are only 2 that are regularly spawned. The rest are essentially locked to specific areas, or events. There are no Volatiles until you each near max chase. There is no sense of danger or fear at night, just a roll of the eyes once a howler somehow sees you and starts yet another chase. Armor feels 'off', they seem like simple stat buffs and nothing else. I can barely tell a difference with or without armor.

The story.. wow. Out of a few select scenes, the story is a mediocre. It does start to shine towards the end, which definitely helps. And yet, it still has more questions than answers. Characters that are there for a short time then disappear from the story. Yet they are still alive.

The voice acting is abysmal. At times I am laughing at the horrible, and at times cringey, interactions. Totally ruining any sense of immersion. We waited 7 years for this??

I have run into SO MANY bugs in my 40 hours, although none have been game crashing. Audio, visually, and gameplay. NPCs talking to each other yet there are no models. Survivor sense models for enemies are tragic, heads spinning around while out of direct view, and the models used are the weirdest choice. Gameplay bugs are abundant. Multiple times Survivor sense just wouldn't work for minutes at a time. Wall running for several feet after the wall ended, causing me to either die or restart the climb. Dodging attacks either not working or being slow to activate. I have multiple Steam achivements I cannot obtain as they are glitched.

The ending boss fight was such a let down. They had to run out of time developing this game when they created the fight. Minor spoliers about the fight The final fight has 4 phases. They could've easily done 2 and been fine, maybe 3 . The choices you've made up to that point and after the fight determine your ending,

TL;DR: Game is okay, 6/10 Definitely a step down from Dying Light 1. If you don't mind the story and porno level voice acting and bugs then go ahead. Feels like they relied too hard on RPG elements they added and missed. Wait until sale/patches.

100% the game in little than 100 hours. Could've been faster. I liked origins more, the enemies in this game felt like health sponges. Took forever to kill even the same level as myself.

8/10 game. Great way to lose 100 hours. DLC is fantastic!

Pros
- Mobility from 2016 to Eternal is actually a nice change.
- Graphics are amazing, par to even better than 2016 ( Ran mine on a mix of Ultra/High)
- Gun play feels pretty much the same to 2016
- Customization is entertaining in Singleplayer and Multiplayer.

Cons
- Mobs will move during Glory kills and will crowd you . Being crowded by 2+ mobs can get you either stuck, and die, or you fight your way out of a corner with only a small amount of health left
- One of the Demons you face in the game is frustratingly difficult . Not only does his defensive mechanics go against the 'flow' of the game. They are stupidly over-tuned and are SUCH a hassle to deal with. Too close? He shoots you with a weapon you can't dodge. Too far? He throws attacks at you that is hard to dodge (doable if you are already moving in a direction and have distance). How do you counter it? You have max of a second and a half to respond to an indicator or he goes back into defense and takes 0 damage from ANYTHING. If you cant tell i really, really hate this. Why was he added?!
- Ammo is such a hassle to deal with early game . you hardly have enough to use before you have to use your melee to get more back, if its back up off cool down... otherwise you just wait it out. You can affect your ammo holding later on, but it really doesnt feel like you have more on you because each fight there are MORE monsters with MORE health.
- Basic melee attacks feel awful . Basically only good for 'staggering' opponents, which seems to work 75% of the time. I understand that they added another mechanic that deal with melee, but why why why would they think this is a good change? You're telling me that my melee attacks are useless, but the moment I can glory kill, all of a sudden I can pull huge demons apart.. but I STILL can't do more than minimal damage with melee... so so stupid.

*Will add more as I am on the final mission.

Overall, this game could be soooo much more... They moved this to be more of a platformer than run n gun from last game and its a nice change to the game. But the negatives are too hard to just drop and enjoy the game as is. I got to the point where I all i want to do is say i played and beat this game. i might go for some achievements that I am close/easier to get. Started off super optimistic and excited. Quickly drained away to frustration and boredom.

Went in not expecting much and in return got a game that really stood its ground. While the game is clunky and at times almost unplayable, i enjoyed my time playing this game and exploring everything it has to give. I've only completed the main story and now I have side quests and additional items to craft to really get the 100% of this game. Through the bugs and glitches, this game is worth it. Even with it being a low cost game. 6/10 (8/10 with rice)

Fantastic game, even went to become a patron for it. Take my advice and do NOT chase the Cat girl on the first night, she doesn't have a sex path... yet. Go for the Elf the first night and get yer first REAL introduction to this beautiful game. Fantastic Hentai scenes and the game-play is interesting in its own way, but lets be honest we are here for the porn, and it DELIVERS! When you have reached the end of Day 4, do not fret my friend for there is still more to do! There is a mini-game with the shark ( best girl, abs tho ) and you get to have ANOTHER Hentai scene with her. There is also another introduction to another Character who you can basically call Froppy from BNHA. There isn't an Hentai scene with her but you get to have a nice conversation with her. you can trigger the event by using the drone at the back corner of your house facing the river, there is a sticker, use the drone there! . 10/10 recommend! GREAT WAY TO BURN A FEW HOURS!
