This is why I wish steam had a netural rating, the game is good but there isn't enough. I beat this game in 2 hours and that is uncalled for at the price of $20. On top of it being short all you really do is walk from point A to point B and get dialogue, at least the writing is good because that is pretty much what made the experience some what fun. But with all that into consideration I can't recommend this game, you will get pretty much the same experience watching it on twitch/youtube, and if you don't want to do that, wait for a sale.

Had potential, maybe it still does. But I stopped believing. This game is one of the worst examples of early access, it feels like little to no progress has been made with this project. I had my fun with it at release but I think it's time to let go of my great expectations for this game and move on.

If you enjoy smash and you're a competitive person this is your type of game. The game is fluid and polished, the characters seem pretty balanced considering the game hasn't been out long and the characters are also all fun and unique. The learning curve for this game doesn't seem as high as for smash so it's more of an 'easy to learn, hard to master' type of game. But all in all if you're looking for a balanced, fluid, competitive game. I can't recommend Rivals of Aether enough.
