still jumping is fun, but i don't think this could stay fun for long with so little to do.

I'll recommend it because it's fun, but it's really more of a "meh".

This isn't really a review but more of a "what you can expect from the game" thing.
But if you want a review i can quickly say that if you're a fan of old NES castlevania games then this is a must play.

This game is something I've always wanted.
A Castlevania type game sort of combining the NES experience with the more "modern metroidvania" experience.
Though mostly linear, the Stages offer a lot of throwbacks to the old NES games and It's a Nostalgia trip for sure.
First you start on a path to the castle itself which is 6 stages that range from a Forest to a Train to Icy Caves.
Then you make it to the Castle and it really starts to feel like Castlevania from here on if you didn't already feel like it did. The Music is probably some of the best 8Bit Music I've heard in a while and the Bosses are all great and creative, offering a lot of openings for attacks inbetween.
You play with up to 4 characters, although you have the option to kill them by not talking to them and just slashing your sword at them when you meet them, granting the first character Zangetsu new abilities. Or you have the option to just straight up walk past them and ignore them without talking to them.
You start with 1 and the rest you unlock after defeating the first 3 bosses.
First character is Zangetsu who uses a katana and has the most amount of health.
Second character is Miriam who uses a whip. She can jump high and slide to get through small spaces. Killing her will grant Zangetsu an aerial slash attack which helps make him more versatile.
Third character is Alfred, an "Alchemist" who uses magic and a staff to whack enemies with. he has the least amount of health and his staff takes long to attack but his magic is really strong. Killing him will grant Zangetsu a double jump.
Fourth and last character is Gebel, who shoots bats and he can also turn into a bat to fly, although that consumes weapon points. Killing Gebel will grant Zangetsu a "double tap run" where he can run faster and jump further.
Speaking of weapon points, they are basically the ammo for the sub weapons you can find.
These sub weapons function the same as in the old NES Castlevania games.
There are 3 sub weapons for every character that are all unique to their character, meaning characters cant pick up those sub weapons that are used by other characters.


And that is basically it.
It's definetly a must-play if you're a fan of the old Castlevania games on NES and if you enjoyed this game, you should also check out the sequel: Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 also on steam right now, although id probably wait for a sale as it can go as low as 8€.

Jerma & Otto: The Curse of the Late Streamer is a Point and Click Adventure game with lots of different Jerma985 References.

If you watched Jerma985 everyday of your life without any exceptions then this game is for you. The Story is MINDBOGGLING and is better than tripple AAA titles like "Snitcher Tree", "Duper Dario 69" or even "[REDACTED]". It has good controls, an AMAZING Inventory feature and it even features Worldwide Superhero JEX himself! This game really makes you FEEL like Jerma985 and Live in Jerma985's Day to Day Life. I belive that if someone were to play this game everyday of his Life he would eventually BECOME Jerma because of how true to Life this Experience really is.

Conclusion: If you thought you knew what your favorite game ever was, Think Again and play this Masterpiece of a game that will forever be part of Jerma985 History.

imagine if some hivemind company in europe combined minecraft, team fortress 2 and left 4 dead 2 and made it about dwarves, robots and bugs. thats what this game is. this is definetly one of the better ones out there so give it a try for sure.

wish there was more to this game. sadly dev was scared but who knows maybe one day he will come back

As much as i feel like a psychopath whenever i play killer, the real psychopaths are the survivors bodyblocking me from hooking their friend.
