Extremely immersive, with an excellent atmosphere and interesting sense of place (post-WW1 space-faring civilisation nukes itself: hence the weaponry, snow-goggles - didn't work out a use for these - etc.)

Issues consist of both bugs (several of which can lock you out of completion) and localisation errors that render what is probably already an obscure story doubly-so in English. The official web page mentions a branching story and multiple endings - whether these features are implemented yet or not I cannot say. Hopefully more work will see most of these bugs ironed out.

The game occasionally takes 'show don't tell' to an extreme that can be frustrating - whilst I generally am a fan of this form of narrative and world-building, a little more to 'see' in this regard would be great. Sometimes though, the dev should probably just tell you what you ought to be doing - e.g. a couple of cut-scenes that begin with a blank black screen require you to press W (with no prompt) to get them to play - I thought the game had crashed. It would also be good if characters that have the potential to be friendly were visually differentiated from the nomads you usually fight (as per STALKER) - I have no idea how many opportunities I missed for interactions besides gunfights, because I could not take the risk when entering a new area.

All in all though I really look forward to seeing how this develops over the next year or so. In my opinion it is superior to some recent triple-As I can think of.

I think the best that can be said of a game is that it stays with you after you've stopped playing - Apocalyptic Vibes certainly does that.
