There are few games that inspire a sense of on the ground tactical and high level diplomatic play that Dune: Spice Wars does. Here is my full review

Let’s start by talking about the overall game. Direction for art and music is amazing, with a talented team of artists animators and musicians. Shiro brings you into the world with the design of the landscapes, rolling cinematic music and personality of each unit, councilor, and faction leader bring you into the world.

This is not without its flaws however, each of the faction leaders have one line when opening diplomacy, making it a flat experience over a long amount of play time. Units can feel the same, if you click on the same unit multiple times, or give compound commands to an army the same line will play multiple times. More depth in the amount of voice lines would be great.

FAA
This is the game mode that multiplayer was built around, giving a tense and quick paced clash between factions on the south pole of Arrakis. It will be interesting to see how the high level of play evolves over time. Unlike many people I disagree that more players would be more fun. Some games with high levels of players get absolutely chaotic.

Kanly
A quick game mode for 1v1, has a lot of flaws but hopefully will have a renewed focus after 1.0 launch. Game is definitely not made for it.

Conquest
I honestly dont habe enough time in it to give final review, however the team has designed custom scenarios for each mission, creating a unique feeling every time you hop in. The map makes you feel like you are a tactician looking for battle plans, which feels great. There are some personal issues I have with it. I feel that any enemy bordering your land should be a mission to be able to choose. Overall great mode for 5-15 hours of investment.
