Extremely clunky game, not very fun to play. It is trying to do too many things poorly, instead of working on something that would deliver a very solid core experience. Even for $5 this game is a disappointment.

Like many people say, just makes you want to play Left 4 Dead 2.

Really enjoyed waiting for helicopters, spent 20 minutes in helicopters and 5 minutes playing to complete one quest. Then I get to spend 20 minutes to go to and back from the same location to complete one more quest. 10/10 irritation

Made it to the Core on my third run playing on Hard, was trying to get the crystal to the final door and it literally just humped a wall until it died. Tried to force it to follow me directly and it still just sat there and humped the wall. The allied AI pathfinding is abysmal in this game.

In the short time I have played I have literally said, "You ♥♥♥♥ game!" at least a dozen times from the pathfinding and AI alone.

I thought the reviews were a little harsh but it seems this game released with some really glaring errors and has now been out long enough you would expect them to be resolved.

Edit: Although I have played more since my review, I would reiterate this game is not really worth buying. Having won several runs now I can say the game play loop gets pretty stale and unlocking all the character chips (upgrade slots) requires a minimum of 3 runs for each character, which is really padding the time to "end-game".

You also need to perform an insane amount of micro to actually fully utilize all three characters since the AI cannot use the majority of the active abilities, they never shove turrets, they never use their ultimate, they will often equip a sub-optimal weapon and proceed to tank their DPS, they will back themselves into corners and get destroyed, they will lose bonuses by walking across room thresholds (from upgrades, amplifiers, or items).

TLDR: This game really needs to be played with other people to be enjoyable, but the active player base is pretty much dead for this game. Maybe 1 message a day on Discord LFG, and the in-game quick play option is geo-locked so you need to search each region individually and wait for it to tell you there are no games hosted (There never are any hosted)

Overall an unchallenging and somewhat boring game. Not worth the price even on sale.

Dunking on a Primarch as a bunch of Grey Bois, doesn't get much better. Gameplay is a refreshing take on X-Com style turn-based tactics.

Only downside is the animations can be a bit slow and the maps a bit large, leading to a lot of chaff in the experience.

Also would prefer a stream of Bloom missions, rather than the oscillations that occur, often causing you to only be able to chose 1 mission even with full engine upgrades.

Best shooter I have played since Battlefield 4. The limited load out choices make the game extremely fun, particularly since all the choices are highly impactful.

The grind in this game is egregiously bad. It seems like it would be fun but from everything I have read this is a 500+ hour game to get to a point where you have a good rooster that is leveled up and can actually play to the full capability, (4 tier 3 perks). So many greedy mtx everywhere you look, like manuals, why the ♥♥♥♥ would you lock skill changes behind a paywall? I imagine this dev is propped up by die hard fans, shills who direct new players to the game, and the occasional "I'll try this game and buy some premium" crowd.

Considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews, barring a few people who are WRONG!, there is little I can say other than buy this game.

Recruit a prisoner while wearing a hat and duster made of their mothers skin and then feed them human flesh meals. Harvest their organs! Grow food, or eat humans! Tame animals, or eat humans! Develop a thriving industry and trade, or pillage prisoners for parts and sell them, then eat the remains!

There is little else I can say than eat some humans and make some glorious and memerable stories.

If you like Factorio, Prison Architect, or Dwarf Fortress you are going to love this game into oblivion!!!

*Played since alpha 8 and I can say the dev isn't going anywhere and this game is only going to get better!
