Really fun but the UConnect launcher actively hurts the experience.

Since you can't buy it, just pirate it. That's what god told me.

All in all, it wasn't that bad.

It's definitely rough around the edges, especially with textures. Even at max settings, materials never look clear or high quality which is strange considering the amount of loading that the game does. Speaking of which, the constant loading does exasperate how little there is to do in each area which I hope they fix within the next chapter release. Also I do wish the hand and the camera bobbing could be somehow turned off or toned down a bit as by the end of the experience I was getting a pretty bad headache.

Given how small the team is I am somewhat impressed by the art quality which judging by the credits seems to have been a large focus. However I do hope that later chapters get more in terms of more interactive gameplay elements as again, while the art is enjoyable, there isn't much anything to do other then walk around and explore.

Again, I would recommend giving the game a shot. While having a few issues it shows a lot of promise and I am looking forward to seeing what the team does next.

Every play through I enjoy this game less and less.

Playing with friends is the only thing that really keeps me liking any of it. Hearing my friends scream from some other room who knows where only to be met with complete silence is a pretty great idea and well implemented. For the first couple of runs, I genuinely had fun freaking out over the walkie-talkies and seeing new monsters when they appear. Having to deal with creatures that you have no clue how to deal with at a moments notice is very interesting and opens a lot of fun gameplay moments. However, it lacks any real sense of progression and any real motive to keep playing outside of those aspects.

At the moment I don't think I can recommend this, at least in its current state. I hope in the future, some form of permanent unlocks could be added. At the very least, some long term goal or investment would be nice.

Best rouge-like I've ever played. Steep initial learning curve but completely worth it. Large amount of content with tons of free updates adding even more. Highly recommend.
