This is a tough one to review, not because I don't like it, but because it is flawed. The majority of weapons become useless on the highest difficulties without putting in considerable effort, several heists are redesigns of one another (although this got better with newer ones), there have been a few bumps in the road of development, like the Completely Overkill Pack, The Weapon Skins, etc., playing with randoms is often a nightmare, and it is riddled with bugs and technical problems, although again, this has gotten better over time and since no substantial new content is being released, it is less of an issue now.

But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I love this game to death. It has brought me so many fond memories of co-op with my brothers and friends, I have never had this much fun hunting for achievements, trying new strategies, discovering new details and just having a blast overall. It's not just the gameplay, it's much more. Everything around it, the trailers and new releases, the characters, the music, the atmosphere, the mods, the memes, and towards the end of development even the story. Everything works together to create an absolute masterpiece. Never have I been so glad to give such a flawed game a 10/10 rating, because I have come to even love the flaws (well, most of them anyway, still bitter about a few particular crashes). There's a bunch of worthwhile content here, even just playing every heist once would be worth your time and money.

Get this game, especially while the summer sale is still going on. Even if it isn't, it's worth it. Let's hope Starbreeze doesn't go bankrupt before Payday 3. I really want to see that game one day.
