The Krappy Patty campaign, initiated in October 2024, is a playful collaboration between The Network called Nickelodeon and the Wendy's Corporation that aims to capture the spirit of Halloween which is celebrated every October 31st but usually starts months beforehand while appealing to fans of both brands. The campaign features whimsical advertisements and promotional materials inspired by Nickelodeon’s fun series with some limited-time menu items.
Interestingly, the Krappy Patty is a nod to the famous Krabby Patty from the beloved animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, which has become a cultural icon since its debut in 1999, it utilizes the Krabby Patty Secret Formula which is something the character Plankton attempts to get all the time but fails because he too is a failure.
