Top of the CDLC, right next to Western Sahara. This DLC adds a whole new map based in 1980's Germany with all new weapons, vehicles, terrain models and props, air vehicles and equipment. There is no re-use of A2 assets to my knowledge Vertexmacht has made all the assets to this DLC which is great to see. This DLC also added some really neat editor functions such as a script to populate a home with random furniture (with correct home decor depending on the house type and terrain) you can also use fence cutters to make holes in fences for better access to areas cut off to you, you can also cut off power so things like lights will not function anymore. It also comes with a neat SP campaign and some very fun multiplayer scenarios. My favorite is where you play as special forces behind enemy lines, you gather intel and report it. The intel also loses it's validity after a bit as the ai moves and those positions change meaning that intel is dynamic and outposts can be dynamic.

I've seen this game being compared to SWAT4 and frankly it's a comparison that doesn't work. RoN tries to be SWAT4 and it misses the mark by a large margin.

While SWAT4 escalates the level of violence with every mission this game just turns the simplest house call into a North Hollywood scenario. Heavily armored suspects, automatic rifles and about a dozen of armed personnel ready to die for the simplest reasons. The over arching story of this game is PEDOPHILES the second mission of this game has you swatting a streamer, a simple mission and something that happens in our world very often. But surprise the guy is a member of a pedophile ring! Honestly it's frustrating it feels like the devs can't have a simple mission without making the suspects of the mission the most vile people you have ever seen. For comparison the second mission of SWAT4 is a serial killer with about three people in the house maybe four, the mother of the suspect, the victim, the killer, and possibly an accomplice of the killer but rarely spawns. The said streamer in the mission of this game has a gang of about a dozen people all armored with automatic guns who are ready to kill the police for some reason.

This little game will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember the days that I would play the demo over and over again. It's a neat little old game I love Warband and Bannerlord but this game I have a lot of love for. I would buy this game if you got some extra money to spend or just want to see what the OG game was like. It's definitely a fun time

One of my mercs had a collapsed lung, so I gave him the title of "the breathless" he lasted me two more battles. It was a sad day when the breathless bit the dust. I truly recommend this game it's just amazing!
