Amazing overhaul of the original AOM. Feels like a new game. Tons of new tech, a new major god, new ways the existing civs are balanced, and brand new relics, upgrades, units and powers.

In the realm of video games, there exists a rare breed that transcends the confines of mere entertainment, leaving an indelible mark on players' lives through profound storytelling and immersive experiences. "Outer Wilds," stands out as one such transformative journey—a cosmic odyssey that not only captivates the imagination but also serves as a catalyst for personal growth and introspection.

For me, "Outer Wilds" arrived at a pivotal moment in my life—a time fraught with darkness and struggle, where addiction gripped me tightly in its clutches. Heroin had become my escape, a numbing agent against the harsh realities of existence. It was during this tumultuous period that I stumbled upon the game, drawn initially by its promise of exploration and discovery within a beautifully crafted solar system.

From the outset, "Outer Wilds" offered a compelling narrative hook: the player assumes the role of a space explorer from a quaint village on Timber Hearth, setting out in a fragile spacecraft to uncover the mysteries of a looping time-bound solar system. Each 22-minute cycle presented an opportunity to delve deeper into the secrets left behind by an ancient race, the Nomai, and their quest for knowledge amidst cosmic turmoil.

What struck me most profoundly about "Outer Wilds" was its ability to provoke deep introspection. As I navigated the intricacies of its world—soaring through space, deciphering cryptic texts, and piecing together the fate of a civilization long gone—I found myself grappling with existential questions that mirrored my own internal struggles. The game's narrative, rich with themes of curiosity, impermanence, and the interconnectedness of life, served as a poignant metaphor for my own journey toward recovery.

The mechanics of "Outer Wilds" reinforced this introspective journey. The time loop, initially a mechanic to master, became a symbol of second chances—a reminder that every cycle offered an opportunity to learn, grow, and unravel the mysteries that plagued both the game's universe and my own life. It taught me resilience in the face of setbacks, patience in the pursuit of understanding, and courage to confront the unknown.

As I progressed through "Outer Wilds," I found solace in its serene landscapes and hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, which evoked a sense of wonder and awe. The game's non-linear storytelling encouraged exploration and rewarded curiosity, fostering a mindset of exploration and discovery that extended beyond the confines of the screen.

More than just a game, "Outer Wilds" became a lifeline—a beacon of hope and inspiration in my darkest hours. It offered a glimpse into a universe where the mysteries of existence were waiting to be uncovered, where each revelation brought clarity and understanding. Through its narrative arc and thematic depth, "Outer Wilds" helped me reframe my own narrative, challenging me to confront my addiction and embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery.

With each passing hour spent exploring its cosmic expanse, I felt myself becoming a new man—not defined by past mistakes or struggles, but by the courage to confront them head-on and emerge stronger. The game's profound impact extended far beyond the digital realm, permeating my thoughts and actions as I navigated the complexities of recovery.

"Outer Wilds" taught me that the journey itself is as important as the destination—that growth and transformation are often found in the spaces between certainty and uncertainty, comfort and discomfort. It instilled in me a sense of resilience and determination, urging me to persevere even when faced with obstacles that seemed insurmountable.

In conclusion, "Outer Wilds" is more than just a video game; it is a transformative experience that challenges players to contemplate their place in the universe and the mysteries that surround us. For me, it was a guiding light—a testament to the power of storytelling and its ability to inspire, provoke, and transform. Through its exploration of cosmic themes and existential quandaries, "Outer Wilds" helped me overcome addiction by fostering a mindset of curiosity, resilience, and self-discovery. It taught me that even in the vastness of space and the depths of despair, there is always hope for renewal and growth.

As I look back on my time with "Outer Wilds," I am reminded of the profound impact it had on my life. It taught me to approach challenges with curiosity and courage, to embrace the unknown with open arms, and to cherish the fleeting moments that define our existence. In the end, "Outer Wilds" is not just a game; it is a testament to the power of storytelling and its ability to inspire, provoke, and transform those who dare to venture into its boundless universe.

The game's non-linear storytelling encouraged me to piece together fragments of information scattered across celestial bodies. From the haunting ruins on the moon of Timber Hearth to the intricate networks of the Ash Twin project, every discovery felt like a puzzle piece in a grand cosmic mosaic. The narrative unfolded organically, rewarding curiosity and patience with profound revelations about the nature of the universe and my place within it.

What struck me most profoundly about "Outer Wilds" was its ability to provoke existential contemplation. As I ventured deeper into the mysteries of the Nomai and the Eye of the Universe, I found myself grappling with profound questions about existence, time, and the inevitability of change. The game's meditation on impermanence and the cyclical nature of life resonated deeply, prompting me to reflect on my own journey and the choices that shape it.

Moreover, "Outer Wilds" challenged my perspective on exploration itself. It wasn't just about charting new territories or unlocking achievements; it was about embracing the unknown with a sense of wonder and humility. Each discovery was a humbling reminder of the vastness of the cosmos and the infinitesimal nature of humanity's place within it.

As I unraveled the threads of the game's narrative, I began to see parallels between its fictional universe and my own life. The time loop, once a mechanic to master, became a metaphor for the cyclical patterns in my own existence—patterns of behavior, thought, and emotion that I had the power to break free from. The Nomai's quest for knowledge mirrored my own quest for meaning and purpose, prompting me to seek out new experiences and perspectives with renewed vigor.

"Outer Wilds" turned my life around by rekindling a sense of childlike curiosity and awe. It reminded me of the importance of embracing uncertainty and embracing the journey, no matter where it may lead. The game's narrative unfolded like a cosmic tapestry, weaving together themes of discovery, loss, and renewal into a narrative that transcended the boundaries of traditional storytelling.

>Get into game

>Game is so loud that you will get legitimate shellshock and PTSD
>Try to fly a plane
>Realize that none of the controls are true, they are lies
>Once you somehow manage to get into the air you fly for 20 min straight just to get shot down by another plane doing loops and barrel rolls and they do not miss
>You try barrel rolls, you pass out and crash into the groud
>You say "♥♥♥♥ air force, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
>You try to drive tank
>Controls are lies
>You hold W but you reverse at mach 2.87 into the wall behind you
>Now nothing works
>You try to aim but all you can see is a scope that has two pixles
>You try to shoot, controls are lies
>You say "♥♥♥♥ vehicles, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥"
>Go infantry
>Get immedietly spawn killed by what sounds like a Minigun with explosive rounds on crack
>Respawn and see an enemy
>You shoot
>Hit
>Enemy ignores your boolet and continues running
>You throw a frag at them
>You just cucked yourself its really a smoke
>You get sniped from 800M away
>Realise that this game has absolutely zero protection from cheaters
>Respawn as a AA truck
>Drive around because you cannot figure out how to shoot
>Run enemies over as you are invicible and their boolets do nothing against you
>They simply morph through your truck as physics do not exist in this universe
>Respawn for the last time
>Get killed by friendly plane corpse as they were shot down instantly like you
>"Kek"
>And the cycle continues.........
