I've spent hundreds of hours using this program through the Epic Store when it was free for a period, but I decided to buy it on Steam as well to support the developer. RPG in a Box is a feature-packed yet organised program that you can use to make many different types of games while also making the process fun. It's also very cheap to buy compared to other engines. It does come with some limitations, but the dev is following a future feature roadmap and updating the engine continuously.

The good stuff:
- Making and animating 3D models/sprites with the voxel editor is super fun and easy to do
- Scripts and game logic is easy to create with no prior coding knowledge. This is mainly due to the engine's intuitive node scripting system.
- You can generate and use various great 8-bit sound effects on-the-go in-engine
- Beautiful UI
- If you find a feature to be lacking, you can often create a workaround method yourself
- No royalties/fees when distributing your game (this is insanely good)
- Easy-to-use dialogue system with a fair share of features and options for scripted events
- Good documentation and tutorials online to help you if you get stuck. There is also a Discord with a bunch of helpful people
- The developer is active and seems super passionate about his craft
- Super cool lighting and special effects editor/system. You can make really good-looking games!
- The games run super well on any system as long as you don't make your maps too big and overdo special effects.

Things you will instantly notice lacking if you come from other game engines:
- Making a 2D map/world is tedious and unfortunately very demotivating as there is no way to "clone stamp" from a tileset and quickly draft a map. RPG Maker is a good example on how to do it. If you come from any 2D game engine like RPG Maker or the likes, you will most likely be very turned off by the fact that you can't quickly stamp and draft a map based on a tileset. This brings me to the next point
- You can't import large 2D tilesets into the engine, and instead you need to manually create a tile one by one in order to import it into the engine as a 3D object. You will also end up with models that are scattered randomly in your model folders (in contrast to having them appear visually together in a coherent tileset), thus making it hard to pick the right one that you want to place in-game
- If you're used to making dialogue in Ren'Py or RPG Maker, you'll notice that you can't really make any screen effects (rumble, shaking, flash, etc), thus making dialogue kinda dull
- Video playback in-game is supported (but a bit buggy), but you can't loop or make it stop on the last frame (rip animated character avatars during dialogue)

Overall, I highly recommend this engine for anyone who wants to have fun actually making games. What the engine lacks is generally made up for by the amount of features that is has.

Everyone needs to try this game. Except for the lame ending, the entire game is a masterpiece.

A very pleasant game to play. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way me the entire time was the poor (even lack of) facial animations during gameplay. If they fixed that, this game would a lot more immersive.

Fun game.
However, the performance is pretty bad, and the dev team is extremely slow with updates. They also seem to be scared to innovate. Custom matches are extremely fun, but they are impossible to start because you need around 8 people to start the game.

Gorgeous game, but they will delete your save file for you after telling it's corrupted. They don't even properly back up the save file, and they don't use steam cloud for some reason. I lost absolutely everything. The backup save wouldn't work either. Don't play unless you manually create backups.

Early Access Review
Good.
Will be even better when they allow for more items on one hero.

A battle royale game that used to put an ephasis on fun gameplay in the very beginning. There was only one fun map (Dione), and the devs virtually removed it. The devs also force people to only play the season's new map, which is one of the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things I've seen in gaming ever

The game is great, but the main gamemode where you play to earn packs costs one event ticket (about 0.36€) to enter each time. I'd like the game more if you could earn event tickets in a fun and free way.

Really fun, especially with friends. Game has a lot of serious issues such as lack of VoIP. Biggest current downside is the price (around 40€).

An excellent, fast-paced hover racing game with optimised graphics and controls. The single player is additicive and fun, and the game looks gorgeous on a good computer setup, and this is especially true if you have a 144 hz monitor. Also, the music in the game is delightful and fitting, and the fact that all sounds are dynamic, meaning they change depending on whether you're flying or underwater, makes the experience so much more pleasurable.
The only thing that really drags this game down is the replayability. Unless you're going for achievement hunting, you will probably spend "just" 5-8 hours on the game, depending on how good you are, and after that, there isn't much else to do but to play multiplayer, which is, for the most part, dead. To add, I personally did not like how the vehichles in the game all have a "polygon" theme to them, and I think a more realistic design would look much more exciting instead of a stylised one.
Despite the flaws, I would totally recommend this game to anyone who loves going fast like Sonic (may his franchise rest in peace).
