Because of remote play, Local Co-Op has minimal downside, and even saves friends a buck if they are only interested in multiplayer, and it is one of the few multiplayer games I can play offline while traveling via Steam Deck. 10/10, will be culting again.

At first, I thought it'd just be a sappy game with some interesting choices. That was the understatement of the century. The game uses meta plot points and tricks that are thinly veiled until later on in the game. The story alone is good, but the meta mechanics will blow your mind.

--- Minor Mechanic Spoilers: --- If you make a choice in the game, end up not liking the choice you made, and restart from your last save point..... the game will give you different dialogue due to your past actions. The time / awareness motif is freaking awesome.

This game lets you kill orcs, and kill orcs well. Great game, enticing storyline (it is LoTR after all), and extremely smooth gameplay, even while on a keyboard and mouse.
