The game's health has progressively become worse over the past year or so. Ubisoft seems to have forgotten what makes operators fun as well as functional at their core (hint: it's not the scopes) and instead have chosen to focus on reworking bad maps into bad maps with some color. I can't in good conscience recommend this game to potential new players in its current state.

EDIT: Continues to become worse every update, ever patch. Ubisoft continues to spit in the face of the game that they had built over the past 4 years, and push whatever they've created over that last year. The game lacks an identity besides its own notability as Rainbow Six Siege, and fails to establish a new positive one at every chance. Veterans leave because the developers have turned the game into a run and gun style monstrosity where rpm and scope determine a win in a gunfight. Veterans stay because every developer as of late has proved incapable of creating something able to compete. Once again, new players stay away, this game is a shell of what it once was just a year to a year and a half ago.
