Hey Throstle, yes ED has a very steep learning curve. I highly recommend reading guides and maybe watch some YT vids. Sorry, it's been a while since I embarked on that journey so I can't recommend any particular guide over another. There are tons however.

The list for the FONV mods is here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1102966465 . You will need to use a mod manager such as Nexus Mod Manager. Keep in mind FNV is prone to CTD even in vanilla, mods will increase that even more. I am happy if I can get an hour of gameplay without crashing.
