It's not just a great dragon game, it's probably THE quintessential dragon game to me.

And after thoroughly experiencing it, it feels like an injustice to call it just a game. It has beautifully hand painted visuals. The writing is poetic and deeply moving. There is a clear passion for philosophy, nature, and spirituality.

Perhaps you will live a straightforward life as nature's perfect creation. At on top of the food chain, hoarding treasures, claiming territory.. or perhaps you will struggle, be humbled, and begin to question what it truly means to be great.

I could go on and on about what I love. It's much harder to think of negatives. It can be pretty difficult at first, which I believe is intended, but I could see how that might frustrate some. There are also some puzzles and mazes that can be quite challenging or cryptic. But I would encourage you to keep trying. I think learning from failures is part of what makes this game beautiful too.

I'll always recommend this game to others; especially if, as the steam listing states, you carry dragons in your heart.

I'm a bit past 4 hours in and enjoying it quite a bit! There are some nice quality of life improvements and changes to the formula compared to Pokemon games. Looking forward to playing more!

This game has so much potential. If you're expecting a big epic space adventure, you may or may not get it, depending on what your definition of epic is.

I find expecting it to be sorta a, space truck simulator, keeps my hopes undashed. It's fun to wing up with friends. Problem is you never really encounter as many people as you see in the trailers. They're few and far between.

How big this galaxy is, is really a blessing and curse. It's impressive but not always fun.

There's really not much to the Horizons expansion. You can land on planets! --But only planets that are entirely rock. There's a lot to be desired with the planetary exploration. As of now, it's just big rocks of different colors, sometimes with a dock or two, occupying a speck of an otherwise bleak and empty world. Apparently there's more to come later this year though.

IDK. I still enjoy the game. It's a major grind fest though. What action you find will almost always just be against NPCs. There's lots of time spent just kinda, driving. It's fun, impressive, big. but certainly has it's drawbacks.

I don't usually review games but I felt driven to after experiencing this one.

The story pulled me in right away. I love the way the game progresses, learning from your mistakes after another, learning about the lore of the world and the characters around you, until you finally find the one path that'll get you your happy ending - which took me about five and a half hours to get to, still, many story branches (you can maybe think of them as timelines) left unplayed

The humor was refreshing, the narrator was really really good, and the overall world was just neat. I'd love to see a sequel/prequel or just another game that takes place in this world perhaps.

The bad: I have only mild complaints. I had a singular isolated incident in which my character got stuck and I had to return to the main menu and then continue back from the last checkpoint. I lost about 3 minutes of time perhaps. I wouldn't mind having some more enemy variety. Other than that, I'm suspicious that some steam achievements might not have popped that should have. (I looked through the achievements after completing the main ending and it seemed like I should've met some of the requirements for achievements I never got)

Ive seen other reviews say that the game is badly optimized and runs poorly or takes long to load. My experience wasn't bad at all. I ran it on the highest settings as well. I do have a pretty solid computer though, my specs inculde an SSD, an i7 and a GTX 770. No graphical issues at all. It does take a moment to load when going between scenes, but never longer than 5-10 seconds. I read a review that said they gave up on the game because the loading the game for the first time took too long. All I can say in response is that they're cheating themselves out of a very fun and fulfilling game.
