1,000 hours flew by while playing this. I can hardly tell it's really been that long. This game hits all the boxes for me. There's a huge selection of trains to choose from, from all periods of history and different corners of the globe, and the models are pretty detailed and accurate. Plus the plethora of mods expands that selection immensely. Track laying is pretty realistic, ie you can't go 90 degrees up a mountain. Industries can be tricky to get ahold of if you're a new player, but once you get the hang of it you'll be wishing for more variety (There's a mod for that too) Sometimes it's fun just to set up a new network, then just watch the trains go by. On top of everything there is to do with trains, that's only like a third of the game as you also manage trucks, buses, trams, ships and planes too! Some things I wish it had (but in no way ruin the gameplay) are a more in depth economics system, rival player AI, and maybe a way to manage industry inventory. All in all, I've had a lot of fun with this game, I highly recommend it! Can't wait for Transport Fever 3!

I played this for 12 hours straight on the first day I bought it.

Out of all the game dev tycoon games out there, Mad Games Tycoon 2 hits it out of the park. Not only do you get a bit more control of the layout of your HQ, but they dive head first into everything Game Dev related. You've got your classic 'build a game' mechanics with the 4 stats that your workers create points towards, but then you can go a step further and say 'let's turn that into an arcade game' and you can actually port it over to an arcade board, and then build a workshop to start producing the arcade cabinets! After that you can start researching components to start developing your own console & game engine. Speaking of production, you start out by needing a game publisher to distribute your newly developed game, but just like the arcade cabinets you can later build a production workshop to become your own publisher, and then you can start selling GOTY and Deluxe editions of older games. They have an IP trading system so if you make a popular game but it doesn't really jive with the direction your company is going, you can list it on the market to sell. It looks like later in the game you can set up MMORPGs and need to build server farms, you can do the F2P thing and then pester your customers with micro-transactions, DLC and expansion packs, as well as port that game over to mobile to take advantage of that market, but like I said, I've only played for 12 hours so I haven't unlocked all of that yet. Got up to 1986 and then my company went bankrupt.

If you like these kind of game dev tycoon games, pick this one up and give it a try.

Great for nostalgia, and great if you're new to Halo too. The ultimate package.

If you're crazy about the Titanic, you're gonna love this. It's basically virtual museum with a sinking simulation. They show off various rooms in both Hospital ship configuration and Liner configuration, and they've put time and effort into it so these are as historically accurate as it's gonna get. Plus they sprinkle easter eggs all around, such as postcards from the Lusitania and Empress of Ireland.

This is THE BEST expansion pack for Civilization IV. If you need to choose an expansion pack, get this one. It adds so much more units and leaders than the other expansion packs.
