The game is nice, simple and the style is cute. I use it to learn languages as it has repetition and funny stories.

It is fun! Definetly have to let go of my OCD and enjoy designing it completetly different from what I was used to.

Basically, let go of your old Zoo Tycoon experiences and it will be fun. If you think you can't let go of these, then I would not recommend it.
It is DRAG AND DROP, no perfect roads with aligned benches and shrubberies, but once you get used to it, you can make very beautiful zoo's. Everything is predesigned and the game lets you focus more on the strategic parts of zoo keeping.

Now what I find the most fun, but feel like they could've done so much more in is that you get to have an actual character that can run through your zoo and take care of animals. You can costumise yourself as well, but the choices are very limited... 4 faces, four hairstyles, four skincolours and a couple of outfit colours. This could've been bigger as it is a unique and new feature, but while you concentrate on you zoo, you barerly ever running around with your character and are spending a lot of time being the Tycoon, like in the other Zoo Tycoon games.

The graphics are very good on the animals, you yourself are not terrible, but well, with only four faces to choose from, it doesn't matter much anyway.

Anyhow. If you can ;et go of your 'this isn't what I am used to from Zoo Tycoon' stubborness, then you will enjoy this completetly different type of zoo keeping game! (it took me a bit of adjusting to, don't worry)

absolutely love the game. Playing it for the second time now. If you enjoy rpg fantasy games I'd highly recommend it
