The run based game in the beta was already a ton of fun, but now with added base building elements in the Story Mode requiring certain items found in the dungeon, it incentives you to try different builds and bring back different kinds of loot. I really wasnt expecting it, and I am happily floored by the addition

Game works perfect solo. But I dont want to play solo! Sadly cant connect to Epic Online Services, so now I cant connect to my friend at all through Steam! Why!? I didnt mind having to link my account, but why does it have to go through EGS just to have ANY online features?? And then on top of that it doesnt even work?

So I understand that it's a whole new game than Darkest Dungeon 1, and thats fine, but I feel that it's TOO different. The best and most stressful part about the first game was honing a team over multiple runs, growing attached to them, but despite literally adding an affinity system, the heroes barely matter past the current run. You get a new cast each run. There are also smaller things in combat encounters that I dont like but understand. Deathblow on enemies SUCKS but it doesnt feel out of place or wrong, just makes the game harder. HOWEVER, I do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate how you have to kill ALL corpses to be able to attack a stealthed enemy. That just feels like a massive oversight

I feel more neutral about the game than anything but I gotta give it a negative for now

Playing this with my friends was constant laughter. Haven't had this much fun in such a short amount of time in a very long while. Thank you guys
