Here's the short version: Interesting premise but let down by the slog of hours you have to put in to complete and the final game option I chose left me unfulfilled. Ultimately I wouldn't recommend as I don't think it's worth the hours.

ALSO look at the positive reviews and see how many hours they've put in then look at the negative ones. Look at the ones who have completed the game (18-20 hours) and then make your decision.

Fuller version (SPOILERS):

The game was fun for the first few hours but then it became such a chore to push forward. I felt like I was only pushing myself to try to get to the end game.

The start of the game you're put in with an interesting art style and it's all new so it's fun and enjoyable to play. There's subtle hints towards pop culture and it's all rainbows figuring out how to do the best job you can. Problem is that you're corrupt right from the very get go, like there is no option to be not corrupt. It's either try to be less corrupt or go full on corrupt.

I think the middle part of the game is just the slog of having to do day after day where no story element is involved so you're just going through the motions to get to the next checkpoint where you get a cutscene of what the next story arc is.

The end game got a little more interesting, the part where the political views under each officer actually comes into play and you know what they're for. Kind of annoying since the beginning of the game, these had no meaning whatsoever and could of been left out. But the ending I chose which was to go with Chaffe was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. I felt like I got nothing from it. I'll obviously look online to see what the other option would be later.

And I think the real kicker was the fuel option towards end game which ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over and forced me to write a negative review. You get the option of choosing to swap fuel for a bit of money. Okay, fair enough, I'll take the damages as I want the money. One of my officer's dies from a car accident and apparently it's unknown why. I know exactly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ why. But the game doesn't give me any option to reconcile this. No option to investigate why the murder happened and take a penalty for it or pay money from my own funds to replace the fuel.

But no, I keep losing officers every single day where I was left with 3/4 on each shift cause the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over. I had an idea it may have been a bad idea to switch the fuel but I didn't know the reprocussions of what would happen until after I had chosen the option. And this lead me to not care about the game. As I was losing officers everyday and I wasn't able to fill their positions, city hall doesn't like how I'm handling things so they take an officer slot from me which reduces my numbers still. Then the new officers either turn up drunk ot not at all. Again dwindling my numbers.

So the cycle repeats and I feel like there's no point in trying anymore. And I wait for the finale to come so I can be done with the game.

Some other criticisms of the game include:

- Sloppy typo errors. I saw regular occurances of "he" when referring to female officers and vice versa

- The sound design for certain things is lacking. For example, the sound for a civilian dying is a gun shot. But in the mission, the person has been stabbed. Last time I checked knives don't go "bang bang"

- I'm sick at opening the game when the main protagonist goes "before I go shaking my tits for the press" in his deep elderly voice every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. I get it but I don't want to think about this old man's tits every time I open the game. Once was enough.

Overall, the negatives outweight the positives and I don't think it's worth your time.

This is rather fun to play with girlfriend but can get confusing at times when there are often not hints on what to do and it's not as clear as should be. 7/10 doe
