If you are a fan of the RE2 remake, you will be DISAPPOINTED by this title.

That is not to say this is a bad game. It does provide a very excellent single-player third person shooter experience. Without considering money or length, I would give it a 9.5/10.
It sits in the middle between a survival horror like RE2remake or RE7 and action-packed titles like RE5 or RE6.

The game feels shorter, with higher combat frequency when compared to RE2. There are also fewer puzzles in the game. It runs very smooth and the visual feels very polished. The english voice acting feels meh, but it is a resident evil so the bar is pretty low. The story changed A LOT(also shorter), I mean, Barry is not even in the game! To me, the nemsis really doesn't feel as terrified as mr X in RE2 remake. (Even though I should since nemesis is indeed stronger than Mr X and could more easily hurt the player) I think it is because of the short encounters and the sound effect is not as good. (The music of Mr X lurking near you is still so terrifying, not here in RE3!)

The two new extra difficulties change the game a lot and add large amount of replayability. But, at least to me, there is much less incentive to replay RE3, because you can just get S rank on inferno by using infinite rocket launcher. There is no S+ rank and no reason to challenge myself.

The short answer is this.
If you love the old survival horror RE titles and hate games like RE5 and RE6, DO NOT buy this game as you will most likely hate it too.
If you are not a huge fan of RE and really care about getting your money's worth, wait for sale.
If you are a fan of all the REs like me, well, then you probably already bought the game anyway.
