The best game I can't tell you anything about. Please, just play it, beat it, then share it. Nothing quite compares except maybe your first dark souls.

A quite release for a game that by all rights should have months of hype. 100% recommend. Definitely listening to this OST while working in the future.

After several updates, this game is now at a point I'd solidly recommend it. Not quite as polished as vermintide, but I'd say the ogryn's rock grenade instantly makes this game worth trying out if nothing else.

My feelings are a bit complex, but the TLDR/Spoiler Free review is: Try it, don't use a guide.

Early on the charm of the game oozes out in droves, easily invoking the feel of buying an old game as a kid from a second hand store, but not having the manual so having to just experiment to find out what everything does. Certain mechanics are obtuse, and overall the first 75% of the game is just amazing. However, the final 25% has a *very* big hurdle that I'll spoiler.

The 'end game' mark you hit after activating all 3 keys has a stat-locked enemy/boss rush required to continue onward. While I get its story reasons, and honestly would have enjoyed it if it was slightly tuned down, as it is I feel its a *bit* overtuned. Thankfully the game has a built in no-fail setting. I reccomend turning it on for that section, then back off for the final bit of the game. Dramatically helped my enjoyment, and I say this as a souls vet.

Overall before the 76% mark I'd give it a good 9.5/10. Including that however I'd say its about an 8.5

Heard it was good, was not prepared for how good it was.

Story was solid, knowing even a bit of norse mythology can 'spoil' some of the twists, but even then the story is solid, the characterization of kratos and boy is compelling.

The cutscene transitions are solid, by the time I realize I've entered one its basically over.

Combat is solid, with a suprising amount of versatility. Very much in the same type of combat as dark souls, dodge, parry, attack repeat.

Lots of little things that really bring the world to life, showed a guy his own decapitated body and he commented on it.

Overall, would highly reccomend, Dad of Boy is a great game, solid 9/10. I don't really like the fact some of the realms are locked off for the sequel, it makes it more than a bit annoying on some menus that you're able to 'select' options that aren't actual options.

So after a lot of deliberating, I'm going to have to not reccomend this game at the moment. It feels like it should be early access with several things reading if unfinished and unpolished.

Overall the story is fragmented with you almost never touching land until late game, with part of the story getting unceremoniously dropped.

Resources are simultaneously too abundant and too few. I was running around with 3 lockers of diamonds while scavenging for lead of all things. Because for some reason lead is the only resource that is common in base building that *doesnt* have large deposits. Only the tiny rock things with a 50% chance of it being titanium.

I love the new base building jtems, but now I can't play 1 without getting frustrated at the lack of the very large rooms since multipurpose rooms are so small.

Overall I'd rather this have been a dlc expansion that let you use the new stuff in the original. As it is its too unfinished and buggy to be a stand alone game, which I could excuse as ea. But this is a month after the "full" release.

Early Access Review
I can not believe this game came out half a year ago and I never heard about it until it randomly showed up in my discovery queue. If you like viking metal music, alestorm, or just songs with a solid beat, I can't recommend this game enough.

I will warn you, even if you play beat sabre, this uses different muscle groups, and you WILL be sore after 2 hours your first time. Since your hammers don't 'bounce' you have to manually stop yourself mid swing and lift the hammer, which will get your biceps RIPPED. Which I suppose is the exact muscle your viking spiritual ancestors would want to get swole.

Overall, love the game, multiplayer is fun, even if it does feel like 'perfects' are a tiny bit too exact and are faster than near-hits even without the combo meter filling. Song list is a tiny bit too small for my tastes, but honestly I love this game and its 100% worth 20 bucks, if for no other reason than to trash talk your friends as you rock out on your way to valhalla.

If you're reading this, you're trying to decide if this game is worth buying I'd assume. So you're looking at this thinking "Gee Geo, is this game worth buying?"

Let me answer it with this. Not only is the game worth buying once. I've bought it 7 times. At least.

If you flashback to 2007 when l4d2 first game out and you and your friends would murder waves upon waves of zombies, you have half of this game down.

Now flashback to when you first picked up minecraft, peacefully exploring mine-shafts and ravines as you mine materials with a trusty pickaxe. Now you have the other half down.

Now take those two halves, and weld them together with sci-fi dwarves/squats that could easily be from warhammer 40K working for a company that couldn't give a crap if they die, only that their quota is met.

That is Deep Rock Galactic. The difficulty scales well and has a bit of something for every friend group.

Rock and Stone brother.

This game, is one of the most anime games to ever anime. I just beat the boss of the first act, and dear god was it an amazing dance of swords between me and the enemy. We attacked, parried, deflected, sword stomped, and threw lightning in one of my favorite fights in all of SoulsBourneIro.

Keep in mind, this game requires a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow as a player for those new to the genre. For veterans of SoulsBourne I highly reccomend it though.

Overall a well designed Prophunt style game mode. The 'prop' (aka mimics) have a limited Psi pool to disguise with, enough to last about... a minute and a half. Sprinting also comes from the pool. If morgan is near a mimic for about 5 seconds, they can ambush him for a 1 hit kill, giving every mimic 5 seconds to refresh their psi pool and get back in position. Coral orbs spawn to refill it to 100%, they're shared, so don't be too greedy.

Morgan is just slightly slower than mimics by default, but if he sprint he can quickly catch up. Smart morgans save their stamina for the chase. Mimics take 2 hits (wether its pistol or wrench) to kill.

Psychoscopes spawn about... twice a match. Letting Morgan see mimics through walls.

Overall its a nice break from the "Break the map hiding as a tiny item" that most prophunts turn into. It may not be perfect, but its fun.
