Bugs. The game is filled with them, expect at least one per match leading to a death. Yet even with these game breaking 'features' the company is still pursuing a monetization strategy that makes AAA developers blush. On top of that they completely ignore the community at large while actively going against positive feedback. The recent proposed economy changes are an example of this, practically making you lose progress each match without a premium account and a full $200 premium vehicle lineup.

This was one of my favorite games until Leviathan dropped.
This broken, underdeveloped, low effort money grab that makes a mockery of the joke that DLC already is somehow managed to break just about every aspect of the game. Be it missions, monarchs, borders, the 'balance', even entire save files, they all got destroyed by this latest monstrosity.
Really don't recommend picking this up until they start putting effort into their projects again.

Currently the devs are actively trying to kill this un-optimized ark re-skin with their latest update. The low-effort grind that was developed in the game was made even worse with the latest update, so don't expect to get any decently sized ship without some major, major grinding. Going on to the performance, unless you have a gold plated PC, don't expect to run above 30 fps in any decently sized base, not mentioning how laggy and clunky ships are. Y'know, the mainstay of a pirate game. 0/10 Do Not Recommend

Fantastic game. Yes there is a learning curve, however, but most people whom you meet will help you solve that very fast. Besides its very satisfying to finally get past that curve. There are some things you will need to get used to however, artillery spam, and air spam, both of which most people fail to mention is easily countered if you play it right.
