This game is a masterpiece.

Recent changes need tweaking, but overall are an improvement to the longevity and balance of the game. DE has shown their interest in reviewing changes based on CONSTRUCTIVE community feedback.
Review bomb is of big babies who can't play anything other than afk easy mode Wukong and are throwing a big temper tantrum because he has been balanced. Imagine actually having to play a game.
If you enjoy looter shooters and games that enable your hoarding problem, you may enjoy Warframe!

I love this game. I honestly do, and I want to give it a good review but I can't, not in it's current state and for it's current price.
I want more than anything to tell more friends to get the game, but I just can't bring myself to have them invest this much money on a game that chugs at best on some of the best setups. It would be so much more fun if it wasn't for the constant paranoia of losing your best set of gear for the umpteenth time because the game crashed, or the frustration of losing yet another pet to some pissed off beast of the wild because you crashed and your mount is on passive.
Hopefully they will have improved the game by the time they do the full release, but until then I would suggest waiting on buying this game.

Riders of Icarus boasts a more extensive mount system of any other f2p game...and it's really the only thing it can boast about. Pretty much all other mechanics (combat, crafting, ect) are very poorly done, textures are pretty bad and the sound effects are horrid(jet engine bird, awayyYYY). And, it's Nexon. So we should all know that the game will be p2w.

• The game does not respond well or quickly to skills you use, making combat tedious at best.
  
• The main story is poorly written and hard to follow, and is easily forgotten while you are doing the ungodly amount of side quests.
  
• Mounts are pretty mediocre, despite them being the main focus of the game. Some of them look really cool, and mounted combat is ok, but overall it's not as great as it seems.

Overall, I would give this game a 5/10. It's extremely lacking content wise, and the content that is there is pretty dull.

I feel that I need to rewrite this review. Previously I did not recommend this game, though I feel that it has made significant progress.

Pros:
This game has good concepts and ideas.
Gameplay is challenging, but rewarding.
Dinosaurs have beautiful models, textures, and *usually* great sound effects.
The environment is lovely with lots of small details.
The map is large, so you can almost always find a spot without other people if you really need to.

Cons:
Once you reach the top of your progression tree, there isn't a whole lot left to do. Unless you die.
Dieing will knock you back all the way to the very first dinosaur of your progression tree. (though this can be a pro, depending on how you look at it)

I can't recommend this game enough, and is perhaps my most favorite pc game, and probably will be for a long time. Great graphics, great soundtrack, great gameplay, and an incredibly amazing story. Do yourself a favor and buy this game.
