I'm still just starting out. But the graphics and atmosphere is just what I hoped for. I'm quite pleased. I hope to make further comments later.

I spent years enjoying EVE. I made a fortune in hi sec trade. But the game has one fatal flaw. Power groups can lock up and make huge amounts of rich low sec space locked out of reach by everyone but corp members. I've even been a member of low sec alliances. You can't even exploit the wealth because of ceaseless red fleet raids. It's an endless meat grinder. There seems to be no easy solution either. Bringing this into some kind of balance is the most needed and worthwhile endeavor.

It's insanely complex. But quite a challenge. Even after some hours of play I feel I am wandering through another world. I have no comprehension of how well or poorly I am doing, but I'm hanging in there. I'm short of recruits, and tech, and I'm desperately trying to address this. If you feel unchallenged by games, hop on this one. It'a an armload.

This genre of game is not something I gravitate toward. But the concept and graphics got my attention. So I watched some of the play-videos. I'm not fond of puzzle games, but the graphics and atmosphere in this one were compelling enough to outweigh any of my patience issues. If you happen to have a high end PC with a great GPU, this game is contagious late night fun, even if you are not a young person.

I've been playing almost since the release. I've enjoyed the game quite a bit. The map pointer and direction finding is still a little annoying but it's vastly better than it was. The designers have made some needed changes and overall it's one of our group's favorites.

TWB clan as a whole is very enthused about this game, along with our associates in the UK and other parts of the EU. The level of immersion can't be equalized in my opinion. And the game is ripe for expansion. It is hardware intesive. So make no mistake about that. But it's well worth the investment. I'm very pleased.

1. Most challenging and pretty strategy game I've ever seen. No question.
2. It's not easy --by design. But you can mod it to your comfort level.
3. People that insist the game is not optimized or runs poorly are suffering from 2nd rate hardware. No excuses.
4. If you can win a campaign at veteran level, you're good. If you can win a campaign using "Ironman" you should
be proud.

Been playing this one for months now. Very realistic but difficult was my first impression. You will NOT easily spot the enemy unless that person is foolish enough to wander at you in the open. This is the first such sim I've seen which forces you to actually LISTEN to people and employ coordination. It gets talked about a lot in other games, but in this one this patttern of behavior is the only way to win consistantly. People that cannot respond to instructions and use cover will chafe and suffer here. Those that can follow the directions of a squad leader over voip will be richly rewarded and immersed. Once you realize that the key to winning is the acquisition and holding of territory, you will really begin to get good and have a real sense of acheivement. Killing the enemy is helpful, but body counts are secondary to everything else. Actually spotting and killing the enemy soldier on your own is hard and actually fairly rare, just as it is in real life. Most of the time, the only enemy you see is a dead one you may walk past. If you're fortunate enough to actually spot an enemy, it's highly likely he's already aware of you. The most frequent condition under which you are aware of the presence of an enemy is suffering a bulet wound. If you are good enough to see the fellow first, you are probably beginning to function properly as a matter of habit. For people that desire realism as close to the truth as it gets, this is your game.

Right this moment, this is probably the most enjoyable and re-playable game of it's kind in existence. And if you read what Jake Soloman went throught to create it, you'll understand the passion involved. This game is not ordinary.
