Yeah... this unfortunately is not a 10/10 game. There are flaws, but overall I am really enjoying it and would recommend it. The best discription I have read so far is that people complained the last Rage was too bland and serious and this game took that and turned it on its head. This game is almost silly. And pink/purple is everywhere. Its not a big deal, but does seem a bit of a stark contrast.

The diolouge and characters are boring. After the first town, I started skipping everything the NPCs said. Its take like 2 minutes of absoutly pointless talking to give you a 3 min side mission. I just hit F, got the side mission and went to the next NPC. Even the main character movie scenes are just boring. Get to the point. I even started skipping those.

Hit the enter key: wtf is this? Its 2019.. what kind of game design is this. So a screen comes up and the only way to close it is to hit the enter key, the key FARTHEST from the left hand or right hand. So does the enter key on the num pad work, you know... the one close to your right hand. Nope. Does clicking on the close screen "hit enter" work like most games. Nope. Does ESC key work. Yes... but only on some screen. So some screens that say hit enter esc works, on other screens that say hit enter, esc does not work. The screen look the same, I have play for hours and still dont know which is esc ok and which isnt. So I have hit enter. Not a big deal. But its dumb for a game that cost millions to make. (edit... wait what, the space bar seems to work too, but again not on all exit screens, just some)

Game freezes on save sometimes.

There is almost TOO much to upgrade. This isnt really a bad thing, its kinda nice, but the game is so short and fast paced, you are constantly upgrading something pretty much after every 2 min encounter.

unplayable. I rarely say that. And 99% of the time there is a fix. This game crashes on every checkpoint. Such a shame, I beat this game on 360 and PS3. It looks good cranked up to 4k60fps and max settings. just google the problem. Dozens of forums about it. And the Dev even posted a bunch of BS fixes that don't work. Should be taken off steam.

I actually really enjoy this COD SP campain. I was kinda groaning that they went back to WW2. But it is really well done. Sure complain about the price. 30$ on sale for a single player campaign. I mean... COD mp is what it is, you love it or you hate. I hate it, so I don't even consider that in a review. There is a reason most COD games have a SP and MP install with seperate acheivments and everything. The single player is great. The graphics are amazing. The combat is fantastic. Too be honest this COD and Infinite Warfare don't even feel like COD games, and that is great. We had like 7 of them that just felt like the same game, but differnt story. Almost no changes to gameplay or graphics. With these last two games we have seen big steps away, a good thing, from COD feel. My biggest gripe with Infinite Warfare is they brought back the screen shake and blur from getting hit (which was absent in Ghosts and Advanced Warfare), and they brought it back worse than ever. It is a stupid feature and effect. I have hated it in EVERY COD. its pretty gone in this WW2. If its here, I dont even really notice it. That's great. I don't feel the enemy is super cheap in this one, in pretty much COD 1 to about Black Ops 1 or maybe MW3 the enemy was cheap. Spam grenedes. super grenede throw, like 1000 m and into your pocket. They see you no matter what, hiding, or behind cover. They shoot through walls and cover. Stuff like that. It happens some in this game, but I only yelled at the screen once "who is even shooting me". It was an MG nest, that I could not see because of a big tree, which of course the AI could see and shoot through, but not me. In about 2/3 of the COD games this happened like 15+ times. Only once or twice in this game. For the most you play as the same guy in the game. Sometimes you take control of a tank. Its not terrible, but its pretty clunk. I had to pick up my mouse 7 or 8 times to rotate the gun around. Not sure why the tank turret is like that. The airplane section was terrible. Horrible. You flew ships in Infinite Warfare and it was amazing. Not COD style, but it was easy and controls felt good. In the dog fight section of this game it was easily the worst part of the game. Just terrible controls.

Love this game, but I am sitting here looking at the steam sale, and the FULL game is 9$ and while the DLC I have been waiting for "A walk in the park" is 10$. WTF?

I not sure if this game is even worth 5$. I just have so many other games than to play this very medicore game. I am sure you can have some fun with, but I have played pretty much every decent FPS since Wold 3D. This one ranks pretty low. It looks good on modern system. I will say that. But the gun play is pretty blah. Its a bit too slow. All the actions. The cut scenes. Like it take 30 seconds to get up out of chair and look around. Why is that even in there. Cut to the chase already. As you can tell I did not give this game much time. I couldnt take it any more. It was just too slow and tedious. I get a treasure map with 5 treasures. Is that where I am now?! It doesnt look anything like the area I am in. Is this it. Oh... I don't have a map for this area, so I missed all 5 treasures. Whatever. Lets just keep playing. Oh I need all those treasures to up grade my skills??!? I had to pull this plug. I have too many games to play to waste my time on a C grade game.

Edit: Okay... I have finished the game. My complaints written below still stand, BUT overall I actaully really enjoyed this game. The stuff below still bothered me throughout the game. I mean... I think its hilarious that the in game engine looks better than the CGI, why bother with CGI if you are going to compress the hell out of it or render it at 720p or whatever they deicded to do. But over all this was a really cool experience and doesnt even feel like a COD at the end of the day. This is a sci-fi FPS that just happenes to have COD in its name, but its hardly a COD game and I think thats a good thing. Not to mention this game has the longest SP campaign of ANY COD by far.

OMG. Some of the worst damage effects in the entire series! I always find it pretty annoying to get get shot in a COD game. The screen jerks... making it impossible to aim.. yet you need to shoot the guy shooting you. And it tends to get REALLY blurry. Making it impossible to aim... yet you need to shoot the guy shooting you. Advanced Warfar pretty much did away with this annoying feature. Infinite Warfare brought it back worse than ever. The screen jerks so violently and goes completlyl blurry, there is ZERO way to see anything. There is no way to try and counter the person shooting you. Just hope you can get out of the way to gain back control over your character.

Years of COD SP combat getting better and better. I have played all of them up to this point, and what happened with this game? The combat took so many steps back. Your team mates move forward and yell at you to push forward or catch up, but they ran right past the enemy. The enemy ignores them, AI ignores the enemy, then you are getting shot in the back becuase you didnt realize they were even there. Why would your friendly AI team mates just walk past the enemy and tell you its clear?! This happened over and over. Advanced Warfare, Blops 3, (and even a few aspects of Ghosts) had the best SP combat of the entire series. This game has some of the worst. Back in the early days of COD where everything felt cheap, but it was somewhat understanderable because COD was ahead of its time in other areas. This game has came out in 2016. Looks amazing, but plays like a game from 2005. Do you ever remember playing some of the older COD games and being like "WTF killed me?" As the games got better I found myself saying this less and less. With this game I probably said it 20 times. No idea what really killed. Also the CGI cutscenes in Advanced Warfare looked MUCH better than this game. I am playing this in 4k with a mix of high and ultra settings and the IN GAME looks better than the CGI becuase it looks like they recorded the CGI in 1080p or lower or just compressed the living h3ll out of it. And this game has the worst check points since probably World At War. I really don't get it. I really MW1, MW2, MW3, Blop1,2, and 3, Ghosts, and Adanced Warfare SP campaigns. This is the first COD campaign that really annoyed me to the point I was barely having any fun since World at War.

And they took out the co-op which was the best thing about Blops 3

This game is not all bad. Its actually a pretty cool game, setting, guns, story. Graphics are great. Its just that I really think the combat took many steps back.

I am playing through all the campaigns in order. So far this one is by far my favorite. I love the combat. It so much smoother and more refined. A lot of people are complaining this game is un-optimized even on a 2080ti. I am getting 4k locked 60 with 2x super sampling and everything cranked up to max. So I am not sure what they are talking about. (about half way through the game, the movie that played between chapters would get a little choppy. If you keep playing then the game's fps is unstable. Simple save and quit and reset the game and its fine)

This is the first COD I felt made a big graphical leap. All the previous games looked okay at best (for their time) even when running max setting at 4k. There was never a big leap between games. Until now. The difference in graphics between Ghosts and Advanced Warfare is the biggest I have seen the series take. The cut scenes are CGI in this one, a series first I think. But they look great. Some photo realistic shots here and there. Our favorite sexu hara actor K. Spacy looks 100% like him on film. I really like the tech and guns and exo suits in this one. Its not too crazy yet like jumping on walls in Blops 3 (I already played that one on Xbone back when it came out).

Still giving all my COD reviews a thumbs down because the prices are STUPID expensive for games this old, this short, and with MP that is either dead or near dead. Even for 20-25 on sale that happens once maybe twice a year for this franchise, still pretty high for a 6 hour campaign. And if the MP is still alive, then they never discount the game that much.

I don't know... maybe I just live in the Twilight Zone, but this is one of my Favorite campaigns in ALL COD.

I am playing through every single campaign from the start. I am on Ghosts now. If you look at list after list Ghosts is ranked last or near dead last on almost every list. I think its one of the best. The combat is better in almost every way. I find COD games REALLY cheap. Enemies shooting you through walls. Spamming nads. Throwing nads 1000 meters into your pocket. The shock effect. Getting hit from no where. Etc. etc. etc. Every single COD had has that annoying stuff but this one. The guns feel better than any COD up until now. And no on screen hit effect. Its just you and the gun, and you either hit them or you didn't. They didn't blow half the bugdet on famous actors for no reason (just the white haired dude Avatar but I don't think even tried to capture his face, just his voice). Just a decent story and good action that doesnt feel cheap. Its a shame they never made Ghosts 2. And more of a shame that it seems SP is dead in COD. Only reason I buy these medicore games.

I am giving this game a thumbs down, of course becuase the price is stupid insane. The MP is dead dead. The SP is is like 6 hours long. The game is 6 years old now. Even on super sale 20 to 23$ is too much. Milking this cow so long its gone sour.

A gem of a game. It may be cheap and short. But its short and sweet. You will want to paly #2 and #3 as soon as you finish. Do yourself a favor.

These games are a lot like Myst but fun and not impossible.

I adore this game. It will run on almost anything. I have a mx250 in my laptop. It pushes it pretty hard, but not a problem.

I have no idea how I even started this franchise. I have about 600 steam games. Most games I will never play and I hide from my library. I am pretty picky about my point and click games and honestly surprised I ever started something that looks like The Room. I think the first one came up years ago in a Spring Cleaning event. Like gets points to play a game you never played. Or I was trying to get an easy easy 100% in a game and knew the Room was a garuenteed 100%. Whatever the reason I fell in love with the first. Same with the 2nd. And now with the 3rd. I hope they keep making these little gems of exploration.
