OW2 is good as a standalone F2P game. It's getting active support from the devs, which is a step up from the final 3 years of OW1. Objectively, Overwatch players are eating better than TF2 players. Anyone who tries to argue that point is delusional. But still, I have to give the game a thumbs down, because it never should've come to this.

The PvP is still poorly balanced. The campaign is a letdown. The PvE we were promised at BlizzCon 2019 is never coming. The skin prices are egregiously high, considering you play in first person. The only good deal in terms of cosmetics is the battle pass. The new hero designs are very hit or miss. All I can do is hope this game earns respect once Kotick is gone.

Late December 2023 Patch: Mauga is horrendously, disgustingly overpowered right now. Absurd that Blizzard has chosen to leave him like this for 2 whole weeks. Better buy that battle pass or you'll lose to someone who did!

The map environments are beautiful, and there's like a dozen of them. The enemy design is incredibly cool, some of the most creative I've seen in any game. The playable survivors are all fun to control, even the ones I don't care for that much. The items add so much replayability, the feeling of a build coming together keeps it so supremely satisfying. The music is absolutely sublime, shoutout to Chris Christodoulou. The game lets you unlock content at any difficulty, with mods on or off, which I really appreciate. The DLC is the cherry on top, adds even cooler content to an already stellar experience. Buy ROR2!

adding EAC is a horrible decision. if the devs don't revert it or add more accessibility features that community mods provided, i recommend ChilloutVR

I used to love this game but the bot problem has gotten incredibly out of hand. You will never be able to play a full match without bots being on both teams. Expect constantly needing to votekick bots if you play in 2022
