If Propoganda was a game, this would be it. Honestly, why would anyone willingly play or enjoy this? There are just so many things that are wrong with this game, I don't even know where to start. The main character is blatantly ignorant about his own country of origin, is easily amazed at the most simple things like convenience stores. The Dialogue is cliché and circular and the characterization is non existant (hint: the player basically embodies the neckbeard stereotype and the two females are empty clichés devoid of any real characterization)

If you want to learn about japan, read a book.

This game is full of life, challenges, and awesome gameplay. I definitely recommend picking up this game and playing it with a group of friends. With a crisp retro appeal and awesome sound track, Mercenary Kings not only plays good, it feels good. If you're a fan of Metal Slug, Mega Man, or Metroidvania-esque games, you'll definitely enjoy this game.

With a steady learning curve and fair difficulty, this game is decently challenging and enjoyable to sit down and play. It often can get repetetive depending on how well you play the game, but the game doesn't go out of its way to screw you over; every time you have to start over, it's the fault of the player.

The visuals are also pretty rad, and the atmosphere of the game is teeming with an air of fun. I haven't completed the game yet, but I'm definitely glad that I got it.
