tl;dr: Divinity OS2 is one of the best RPG's and one of the best Co-Op games out right now, and quite possibly the best game I have played in years.

A friend of mine got me this game as a Christmas gift, and I have not been able to put it down since. I enjoyed Divinity OS1 before, but this game manages to outdo it in most aspects still.

The story is amazing. It truly makes you feel like every small decision you make matters, and changes both the course of the game, the way your characters personality forms and how they interact with party members and the world in general(and obviously how they react to you as well).

Most if not all dialogue is fully voiced by great voice actors(including the narrator), the sound track is atmospheric and immerses you straight into the fantasy world, and the graphics and world design are gorgeous.

When I played the OS1 for the first time the slow-paced combat kind of turned me off at first (I thought it was quite hard to survive, and kind of confusing), but once I got more into it I grew to like it, and with Divinity OS2 all my doubts about the turn based combat have vanished. It is a lot of fun to plan out your next moves with your friend. The game wants you to be creative and tactical in combat, so you better not try to run head first into every fight, or else you will probably end up dying many times.Rather you will often use the environment to your advantage( which reacts to pretty much anything you do ) applying status effects, luring enemies away to overwhelm them in numbers and combining elements with your party members to cause havoc.

The companions have rich stories, are fully voiced and quite interesting (I had a hard time picking a follower because they're all quite cool).

That's pretty much all there is to say: if you like (Old-School) RPG's and don't mind the slower paced more tactical combat system, this is probably the best game out there right now.

Early Access Review
70€ for a bad, buggy, unfinished game... not to mention that the devs already released paid dlc while the game was still deep in early access
