this game released 96 hours ago and I have 44 hours in it. I want my life back

Would i recommend it? mmmm nu, modded, its like rust, but you take 1hr to respawn if you wanna run for 40 minutes.
The way people play is so slow, its boring like chess, sit in good positions(bushes, forests, rocks, grass)and just snipe with sniper rifle. Upcose gun play is so clunky that its a coin toss to who will win, and when you kill someone, your bullet will "ruin" their gear making it useless to do anything but shoot in the head, hence sniping.

vanilla, it doesnt really have a end game, you really just play it for about 20 hrs, get geared up, and go "huh- so thats it", then you play modded for base building etc

They should have made another game instead of turning Rust into a game with the difficulty level of bloons TD.

I paid for the game way back in alpha stages. Great game. When it "released" i said fine, thats the game. But over the last 1.5 years, they have eliminated what makes their maps great for PVP and solo gameplay.

For when the player is shot, They added "being down" when you should be dead, and you can crawl around when down, and close base doors. As an agressor in fights, this is rediculous to deal with. 3 headshots to kill someone naked, or if you dont hit the head, theyll go into a crawling state and crawl back into their base, politely closing the door behind them.

As of May 26 2022, They are completely removing gun recoil spray patterns, single handedly alienating their core player base who practice to have the skill to out-shoot an opponent. Now the games basically like valorant. No recoil, too much bullet bloom.

You used to need skill to kill an opponent in the game 200 meters away by controlling your spray.
But even if you shoot like you have scripts, the bullet bloom is so high, dont even waste your time pulling the trigger to shoot.

FACEPUNCH. YOURE CHANGING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE GAME WE ENJOY. GO MAKE A DIFFERENT GAME WITH ALL YOUR GREAT IDEAS.

I hope your datacenter servers burn down again, like they did last year and you didnt keep backups.

Oh and by the way, when you get killed in the game (at least before May 26 2022), it most likely wasnt a scripter. But ill be damned.
If the development studio is taking this game into a new direction to cater to the more casual player, youre going to see an influx of cheaters enjoying the game with all these farm bot players running around. You know, the cheaters that use ESP, jump 2.5x normal jump height, etc. Ban them? nahhh.

new accounts with Rust cost around 2-5$, if players are legit cheating and determined, youre not going to have a good time. Play on community servers with active admins, thats the only way.
Hardware bans are circumvented with ease when cheaters use cheats that cost 80+$ a month. Sometimes they even spend 500$ a month for god tier cheats, and if theyre careful, theyll rarely get caught.

I hate this cheating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but playing rust, you have to understand some people will, and now with these updates catering toward a more casual crowd who just farm, itll be a cheaters heaven.

To not over saturate this review, im just going to cover the fundamentals of how i would like to describe my game expeirence aside from my 700+ hours in arma 3, Id like to touch up on how I feel about it.

The world of Arma 3 is extremely diverse, not your average shooter. In the game Arma 3 you have many different roles you can play as a charecter, from very realistic fighter jets to infantry, to even sea attack boats, hell even mini submarines!!!
Arma 3 also invites a ton of ability to mod the game with thier editor, to scripting, to full blown modding, which has given the game so many different tastes. Some of my favrote modded/scripted versions of Arma 3 are Wasteland, and Altis life. By all means im not dissing the vanilla game, that deserves its own review in its self. But i feel i should cover what most people would want to do(at least me) other then play vanilla all the time.

The standard of this game i guess is give the community this tool, which also encompasses a game, and let them mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, and they have so much support to help you do so. Ah but i hear you through the monitor asking, Well what about bohimea interactive? are they just sitting on thier asses letting the community do the work? To that i say NIEN! the developers are working tirelessly fixing bugs and adding new content to the game which i highly appreciate, As of now within this month there should be a new map expansion and a ton of new content added to the game!

All in all, this game is super amazing as iv been playing it for around the past 3 years, and have racked up over 700 genuine hours in it and i dont plan on stopping anytime soon
