This game is tedously drawn out and uneventful. Navigating the map is a chore. Equipment is pretty lame, weapons are 'meh' at best, skill system is super boring ... i wanted to love it, cause it looks amazing. But it doesnt play amazing. Cant even bring myself to finish it.

Mindless fun. Jump in, jump on, jump out. Perfect for passing half an hour or an hour. The tasteful art style on the cover doesn't promise too much: the monsters look good, the music and ambiance are very well done. The weapons are okay and don't have so much punch that they steal the show from the spikes-weapon. There's a progression system, as most rogue-lites have. A clear recommendation.

I didn't make it to the endgame, sadly. Why?

The spell system is pretty cool, and it's exciting to discover or create new spells. But, the game feels a bit... monotonous. The developers set up a good system, but it doesn't hold my interest for long. Right now, I've got this combination of fire, plague, and kinetics - and I'd really love to "experiment more," but can I? Well, not really.

Heading into the final battles with new spells to finish the campaign isn't an option: all the new spells are just too weak. Sure, I could replay the earlier levels to try out and upgrade my new spells... but then the game becomes even "longer"! It keeps dragging on and unfortunately gets boring quickly.

It's extremely disappointing because I actually find this slow, tactical, ego-shooter gameplay quite cool.

Would I recommend the game? Well, sort of. If you can get it on sale, you'll probably have a few hours of fun, especially at the beginning when everything feels fresh and exciting. But anything more than 10+ hours is just getting tedious for me. So, buy it at your own risk.

Borderlands 2 is a game that fails to deliver a satisfying gameplay experience in every way imaginable. From the clunky gunplay to the unfair deaths, this game is a disaster.

The guns in this game feel awful. Even the rarest and most powerful weapons feel weak and underwhelming. Shooting seven magazines and only doing 20% damage to enemies is just jarring and makes players feel like they're wasting their time.

Enemies in this game constantly spawn randomly, which makes it impossible to plan any strategy. This results in frustrating and unfair deaths that feel like the game is simply cheating.

Speaking of deaths, most of them feel completely unfair. This is especially true during boss fights, where players will die repeatedly before they even have a chance to figure out what they're supposed to do.

On top of all of this, the humor in Borderlands 2 is nonexistent. The game tries to be funny, but the jokes fall flat and feel forced. This makes the game feel like a slog to play through, rather than an enjoyable experience.

In conclusion, Borderlands 2 is a game that should be avoided at all costs. The guns feel terrible, the enemies are unfair, and the humor is nonexistent. If you're looking for a game with satisfying gameplay, look elsewhere.

The language is completely overloaded, yet boring. Instead of creating moments through impressive language, attempts are made to create "pictures" in the reader's mind with countless descriptive adjectives and inappropriate verbs. This doesn't work at all. Most metaphors and symbols are not exciting or interesting, but overloaded and inappropriate. It all reads like the failed prose of a depressed teenager involved in the theater club. Immature, overloaded, boring. The game not only promises, but also confirms in-game, that most encounters can be solved without violence. This is not true, on the contrary: those who choose the non-violent path will be surprised with mandatory fights in the mid-game that cannot be skipped. Thanks. Not having to fight for 20 hours and then being thrown into a scenario against strong enemies without any experience with the combat system? Ill-considered. Moreover, the combat aspects are not fun. The in-game character models look very bad, simply uninspired. The environments also look rather dull, overall the entire art style and implementation in 3D is so meager, so uninspired and run-of-the-mill, maybe they should have stayed with 2D and let some real artists work on it. Also, conversations with NPCs are totally unintuitive and feel very generic and "NPC-like", the questions/answers that can be asked of NPCs are super unsatisfying and most NPCs you meet have absolutely no character of their own. All in all: Not recommended.

I have installed the launcher - it asked for permission accessing the steam-cache (reading? writing?). I allowed it to run "fixpermission.exe". Steam shut down. Launcher shut down. After i restarted the PC, it wouldnt boot up.

Had to wipe the system-SSD and install a brand new windows. No repair possible, nothing.
Im at a loss of words. EVE-Online? Never again.

Played for about 40minutes. Had around 5 crashes right to the desktop. Also out of the few cutscenes so far, multiple just broke and left me staring at a still image and War's voice only playing.
