A nice & boiling tribute to George Andrew Romero/Dario Argento & Lucio Fulci (among others) films. If you like to bash (watch out, rare ammo) some undead floppy heads, this indie, rich, admirable and 100% Free to Play & standalone Half-Life ² modification is for you, definitely. The truly brilliant Survival mode (nms_name maps) is no doubt the best, the most intense, smartest & richest Co-op' mode of this atypical & brainy gaming experience. Save ammo, melee weapons are powerful and remember:
"They're coming get you, Barb'ra!..." ; )

Between the Penumbra / Amnesia genre (powerful inspiration we still can feel in other huge games like Alien: Isolation™) and something absolutely nonesuch, Miasmata is purely a magnificent masterpiece dragging the player into an amazing and never-to-be-forgotten exploration experience. Technical (video settings & optmization) issues aside, this is definitely one of the very best game of its genre I've ever played. Thanks a lot to Joe & Bob Johnson and Ion FX for this unique & brillant jewel.

Summer 2021 and Cold Iron Studios made it, Aliens™: Fireteam already renamed Fireteam Elite is about to be released in two weeks. Sweet & refreshing to see another game based on the franchise showing up. And don't worry, Uncle Randy was not in charge this time.

Whatever the outcome about A:FE, after more than eight years, Aliens™: Colonial Marines signed by Gearbox Software & TimeGate Studios remains an unfinished & unpolished base game having undeniable flaws but, at the same time, a nice crossover between James Cameron & Stan Winston 1986 feature film and the numerous Aliens™ 1988-nowadays comics as well, and above all an absolutely unique experience in Bug Hunt brought by Demiurge Studios. That great Solo or Co-op' horde mode having its own, mechanics, metagame, challenge, pace, level design, depth, Aliens classes, AI surprises, toolset, and ultimately its own gameplay & skillcap. Watch out, many moves you make & decisions you take directly impact the Co-op' situation & progression, especially in UBA diff' conditions, the most captivating & immersive difficulty.

An absolutely unique experience in Bug Hunt, definitely the reason to play A:CM as long as players fully aware of all the ins & outs of the Threat Percentage and realize that the base game's ranking up & unlocking system provides all the needed sweet stuff for that alternate PvE mode. Indeed, the Traits, Armors, and the Movie Characters (not only skins, you know) are all modifying the gameplay, speed, frame data & stats in Bug Hunt's PvE. In the Campaign(s), no need to try, you can't for the simple reason that you can't even choose your character.

If you're looking for people wishing to play A:CM, careful, the auto-matchmaking sucks since Day One even before the player base dropped drastically, but God save Valve, Steam groups & all Steam options are here: the only but definitely reliable ways to see & reach people wishing to play (thing that Steam Charts can't see or estimate), invite them, join them, keep'n touch with them, and more. For Bug Hunt or even for Classic Multiplayer, feel free to check that one and to pay attention to the available information on the homepage aka Overview section:

https://steamproxy.net/groups/ACM-BH

• the obsolete auto-matchmaking vs the useful Steam Options
• the ACM-BH Group Chat ( the blue button on the right side )
• Valve's 2018 Steam profiles privacy update & reset consequences
• the 7/7 Multiplayer USCM enroll list ( check the comments there )
• Modded ( 2013-2021 ) vs Vanilla versions for Bug Hunt Co-op'
• the Comments section always coming in handy
• and more, better read them.

Feel free to join, show up, post, talk to people. Only joining & remaining silent can't help.

So if you usually only judge by graphics and look for AAA polished FPS games (precisely what A:CM was supposed to become, true), better play AvP 2010 offering a (limited but) thrilling Survivor mode or AvP 2 but these are sadly part of another franchise. Then, of course, there's Alien: Isolation™ which is the only & true Masterpiece in terms of Alien(s) games, above all for Survivor's Score Attack mode (with Objectives, Bonus Points and Multipliers Objectives), but Folks, this is not a FPS, we just can't compare Quake to Amnesia (loving both). And in order to reply to a comment below, indeed, in my humble opinion, even A:CM's base game didn't tarnish the series like Prometheus & Covenant did.
