Key hits relay noise for note placement to assist in correcting proper notes. The game offers a challenge that gives you a sense of accomplishment. Songs range from 1 star to 15 star difficulty. Most of the time spent playing will be in freestyle (picking single songs).

I was initially discouraged when I was first exposed to DJMAX, and felt as if the game was too hard. Now 100 hours later I am sitting at an average of 10* max combos in patterns. Missions are for those who want the true challenge -- but are still a bit difficult to me. (20 missions cleared at time of review).
