Well, it's a simplified version of World of Tanks for mobile players. Good on PC if you like to stomp on puppies.

Just when I thought I was out... THEY PULLED ME RIGHT BACK IN!

First off, this is a great game and I highly recommend it. I wouldn't have put 1230 hours currently into it if wasn't great. But a few things you must know before you download it:

- This game is designed to suck you in. Not as badly as gambling or anything, but it sucks you in with short research times and low prices in tier 1 and 2, but then they ramp it up dramatically once you get to late tier 3/tier 4.

- Those supersonic planes you see advertised? Those take a long time to earn. I got my first jet (and supersonic jets are quite some time away from that) after just under a year of research. And I have lots of free time.

- Did I mention all the glitches and broken stuff? It's one hell of a laundry list. Broken spotting system, terrible sparking with certain weapons (or all weapons if you play at 300 ping like me), ramming is broken, PARTS AND FPE, countless technical glitches, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ teammates, though that last one might not be patch-able.

- Gaijin WILL squeeze you for money. The game is designed to make you want to spend. Not as bad as those awful mobile games, though.

- NEVER SPEND EAGLES UNLESS ON SOMETHING WORTHWHILE. I discovered far too late that the only way to get Eagles is paying for them, or special events.

The fact that people look past all these flaws, though, is a testament to the game's solid foundation. Gaijin never listens to the comunity and works on the wrong areas, but overall it's very good.

CS2 is by far the worst netcode I have ever witnessed. The rubberbanding and packet loss make the game totally unplayable even on a fast, reliable internet connection. This is an absolute turd of a game and not worthy of the counterstrike name.

I have more respect for this game then I do for any adult. It is the only game that has made me want to feel nostalgia about it so bad, I sort of did.

This game is a significant milestone in graphics, like Quake before it, Doom before it, and Wolfenstein 3D before it. Half-Life 2 would go on to succeed it graphically, but not when it comes to variety or imagination. The environments are more varied, and the weapons more creative.

I know what you're thinking so far, don't lie. You think this isn't worth your money, that it is just a cheap spin-off.

You are wrong... wait, no you aren't. It probably is a cheap spin-off, actually...

It might be that, but it is FUN. I was never a fan until I joined the High-Kill servers: Ridiculously fast-paced servers with low gravity and infinite ammo, where every kill is a spawn kill.

It will frustrate you at first, but turn your DPI, Framerate, and Reaction Times up and it is immensely satisfying. Every kill is a YouTube-worthy event, especially in slow motion. I recorded tens of hours and hundreds of gigabytes of footage. Because that's the thing. This game makes you WANT to record. After the first kill, you think "Holy Crap, nobody will ever see that again! How could this happen!" and you promply turn on your screen recorder. However, not recording it makes it that much enjoyable, knowing that every kill is an event that only you will witness.

Anyway, maybe I'm rambling, but maybe this mod is worth your money. Go get it.

Let me quickly take you back to late 2015.

This game was like $20, and I didn't expect to get it. So, like an idiot, I watched it on YouTube. I had a lot spoiled for me.

Then, I got it. Right now, I have 200 hours of it.

It had a huge impact on me, even though I had seen nearly every ending before. It was still powerful, and much different.

Imagine how much better it would be if you came into it like it like you are supposed to, blind?

I don't know, but go ahead and find out.

This game is true beauty. The creator is magic and can consistently manipulate your emotions very specifically. When I started this game, I knew that it was something to be revered, and that I should play it slowly and enjoy it thoroughly. It delivered.

Graphics? Everybody is talking about how everything else helps you ignore the graphics, but I don't need to ignore them. I simply don't think about them.

I think a comment on a video of the music (which is beautiful, by the way, and I highly recommend you listen to it) sums it up best:

"WHY DO I FEEL NOSTALGIA FOR A GAME I PLAYED 3 WEEKS AGO"

I played this since 2.0, and can happily say that the hundreds of hours I put into this game are all worth it. The community is great, the graphics are lovely-looking and you can get 60fps on a toaster. I'm so happy that this game is finally out of early access, and welcome new players.

Around the time this game was made, the industry was focused on open-world games, so graphics progressed slower then they would otherwise have. However, Valve are excellent storytellers and don't need to make a game that is 5% story for lack of ideas. They used every resource at their disposal to make the best graphics imaginable, and don't need huge world to do it. The fact that the story and gameplay is even better, however, says something.
