This is one of these games where I which a sort of neutral option would be a thing. I really enjoy quite a bit of Homeworld and played the hell out of the other games before it (1, 2, Remastered, DoK, Cata) and Homeworld 3 did pick my interest at least.

I can confidently say that the visuals, art, music, and a good chunk of gameplay really holds that homeworld feeling of epic space battles. That I think its one its strongest and best things that BBI worked on, no doubt on that.

But for 60$ for what I think is a relatively lackluster story that is also short (13 missions) and finished that in just under 8 hours? I enjoyed the plot but it really, really needed to be expanded a lot more to even make it worth it. The other 18 hours was spent on war games with I thoroughly enjoyed but I am already level 15 with like 80% of the fleet presets that was included already for war games and unlocked a pretty decent chunk of the content it provides.

There's also skirmish, but it seems that the AI is bugged or something? The AI seems to swarm the hell out of me with strikecraft even though I am still researching it.

Hiigaran battlecruisers also just... don't fire? Torpedo/Smart Missile frigates, or rather all frigates try to attack their enemy on the same horizontal plane? Its a 3D game, why can't I take advantage of a space that I am given?

Being that war games what was considered most developed, why do I just no longer have the option to play with capital ships other than the carrier? I only get 1 destroyer in a specific mission, and that mission is also bugged that the game speed is 1/4 of the original. I would've absolutely loved to see just capital ships duke it out in the last mission of war games.

I absolutely love the homeworld franchise, I will continue to play this game for War Games, just since RTS Co-op modes are fairly rare (Starcraft 2 Co-op for example). But for 60$ for a game with really strange bugs in which some to be considered game breaking, a short campaign that lasts for 8 hours with not very memorable characters and a co-op mode in which you can just get almost everything in 18 more hours this would be a soft no. And then on top of that you have DLC put on the roadmap on release that also doesn't apply to skirmish? Really?

A must have for anyone interesting in a Real time strategy game, new or experienced.
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is probably the shinest gem out there that still blows all the other next generation RTS games by this day.

It has nearly everything that an RTS must have, the necessities and unique features, such as faction diversity, adjacency bonuses, and mod support as well. It may seem complicated at first, but you get used to it pretty fast, as it is easy to learn.

The community is still alive and working here, usually hanging on the Forged Alliance Forever lobby mod, which optimizes the game further and adds working multiplayer lobbies, ranked matchmaking, and so forth.

Each unit from each faction serves a vital role in your great conquest across the the entire battlefield, lots of diversity into them as well.

Resources is a pretty interesting one, unique but sometimes frustrating if you don't know your build orders.
I highly recommend this game.

Possibly the best remake ever seen.
I've played the original, was kind of disappointed that the fuel system wasn't implemented.

Beautiful graphics, steam workshop mod support, multiplayer, SweetFX and Reshade compatible, epic space battles, and lasers, lots and lots of lasers.

They've remastered the audio, soundtrack, missions, texture quality, nearly everything!
They've also included the two original homeworld games(Not cataclysm) for those who want the old mods, and are compatible with the latest operating systems.

Unfortunately, they do not have the source code for cataclysm, nor the literal name of it.
Still a great remake.

I don't get why people complain about "Day 1 DLC". Considering the fact that the dlc in the store is purely cosemetic and does not affect the gameplay what so ever. And the season pass doesn't give anything but just few skins you can start out and the extra monster and 4 hunters when its released in another update. There is no such thing as Day 1 DLC, as it does not affect gameplay what so ever, just cosemetics, you guys are overreacting to it. The base game already gives alot of content, you can just unlock all the hunters and monsters threw the player progression found within the Base game.

But anyways, back to topic with my experience.
Evolve is a action packed co-op 4 vs 1 game, pitting 4 hunters against 1 monster. Currently at the time I am reviewing this, theres 3 monsters and 12 hunters, each with their own progression tree, leading up to a elite skin when you complete it.

I played hunt in multiplayer as the monster. I was certainly scared, and you get that adrenaline feel as you don't know what tactics the hunters might pull out, or when they catch you, or spot you, it's very unexpected and each match is different. Especially Evacuation which I'll explain in a bit. Wildlife around the map can help or even harm any team. Such as Carnivorous plants that eat any hunter that steps on it, or packs of trapjaws that can deal a significant amount of damage to either team.

Evacuation is a series of gamemodes put together that allows each match to have a game changing experience. Winning orbital drill as the monster causes satellite debris to fall on hunters. Or winning the armory as hunters and attack drones come and absolutely dominate the monster. Each evacuation match is always different from another (Unless your lucky enough to get the same result out of 800,000 combos) match.

To end it off, there are many mechanics in the game I can't really tell much, from the littlest detail, to probably the most obvious, its a good game from Turtle Rock Studios.

P.S
Would get eaten by a rock again.
11/10

My Review for this game
At this current stage, I wouldn't recommend this game. I had so many bugs, I could barely get to end game. While the amount of concept done in the game. The bugs became more of a problem then gameplay it self. I run a very well computer, but the loading planets that are small scale is time consuming. Usually the A.I or the Player gets a headstart before I could even load planets. Sometimes in my battles, my screen is blocked out of view. So I can't even see my buildings or units. Fabricater's pathfinding starts derping. Your "ACU" Or commander can get stuck in a spot where you can't even go 3 steps.

Do I recommend: My answer is, "Not at this moment, mabye after a few updates, but as of 9/23/14 I would not recommend"

The gameplay and concept is good, which I do like. Econemy management is similar to some of my favorite strategy games, "Total Annihilation", and "Supreme Commander" series. End game gets bit more strategic if planned accordingly. [Unless theres metal planets and Planet smashing]

It gets intense as time goes on, I get the feeling after a few matches. All about scouting and other necessary stuff leading to victory.

Just not now. Too buggy, too laggy. Should'nt even release at this stage

Defiance is a great F2P MMO Third person shooter, mainly focuseing on Player vs enviorment, while keeping PvP in their matchmaking system.

The game offers an extensive amount of storyline and gameplay, I would recommend playing this game, and even throwing a few bucks on DLCs, because this game is a whole load of fun. The game also makes events that are action packed, keeping on your toes.

The storyline in the game is extensive, but most of the main/episode missions are out of order, probably because Trion doesn't want a fixed path of the storyline, but I do understand. They've also made a massive amount of goals you can do, such as aquiring a certain level to get the infamous Ark Predator Cosemetic, giving a whole list of things to do in game before you get tired. Weapons have very different and unique abilities, such as a biotoxic rifle that pierces threw armor like nothing, or a vampiric-like weapon that syphons the shields and health from your enemies, or even uranium-like weapons.

The leveling system is a bit different then most MMORPG/RPG games, rather then having a level 1,2,3,4,5 enemies, Your enemies adjust to your level, making it balanced whereever you go, It is slighty unoticable when your in the 0 - 1000, but its get alot more noticable when you are passed that amount. And a very extensive ability tree.

Their are many DLCs in this game, and all of them a worth in honestly. Some DLCs can give you an amazing sword, or a way to call down arkfalls down to your location. Or even have one of the best weapons. While the DLCs are great, I felt it wasn't cost about 10 USD. But atleast 4.99USD.

Theres major amounts of bugs in here however. Some bugs that prevents the player from completing a mission, or "Phantom" Arkfalls, were only the radius of an arkfall remains.

I find this a very enjoyable MMO, to me, this is worth 29.99USD, but its free! You should really
get this game.

Starbound, a game with huge amounts of content. Those include random weapons, dungeons, mini - bosses, sectors, villages, mechs, tech, and, you can travel to space.

Theres also a coordinate system, which allows you to travel to other planets that players discovered, and it will be the same. This is basically a type of system that is like minecraft's seed generator.

Tons of content in here. Even a modding community that is highly active. This is much more than a beta.
