This was the first game I ever bought on Steam, all the way back in 2011. Since then this little 2D sandbox game has evolved into one of my favourite games of all time. It's packed with so much content now that there's no wonder I've spent whole days worth of my life playing this game!

Sometimes infuriating, vast majority of the time great fun! The potential to have an incredible run is always there and it keeps me playing for hours.

I originally made a review for this game when it first came out and apart from the DRM and lack of certain level transitions I had nothing but praise for this game.

Since Mania Plus was released, those minor complaints are all but gone! This is a love letter to Sonic fans and I only hope that this is the start of a new era of 2D Sonic games. The mixture of old and new Zones is charming, with so many references to pieces of Sonic media that it would be an ordeal to list them all! Highly recommended.

I first got this game in 2015 on sale and I've never looked back since. Genuinely one of the best games I've ever played. Incredible villain, funny dialogue, ridiculous characters and sheer mayhem! I cannot recommend this game more.

I'll be honest; it's certainly not as good as Borderlands 2 but this game really holds up on its own! It still has the same charm and humour of the Borderlands series with some really interesting mechanics (love those Cryo weapons!).
