a fun but repetitive game. Different classes just have different starting stats. They could have made less characters but each more unique with how they are played. Overall a fun bullet hell dodging game. It auto attacks which can be nice but a lot of the time frustrating how it priorities closes enemy vs where it could be attacking for most damage.

Another fantastic episode for the space captain

Sludge life 2 is an amazing follow up to the first sludge life game, Althogh you dont need to play it for plot or mechanics reasons. I would recommend playing it first then coming to the 2nd game. This game like the first, was beyond fun to play through and hunt everything down. Unlike the first one, the map is massive. When playing and i hit the boundary of Cig City i thought, ok this is map size, seems like first one. Then you leave and its like wow. Is this still a indy company? The items in this game build off the first game and have some new ones as well. The glider is back same with warper, but they have so much more uses now, With the map being a lot more horizontal vs vertical, quickly teleporting to the top to re-drop was well thought out. The NPC's in this game are amazing, You will come across unique rooms filled with interesting characters with one off dialog's that will either leave you questioning everything or laughing your butt off. The movement in this game was a bit frustrating at times trying to parkour tight spaces but became much easier with the boots item. The price for amount of content in the game was completely worth it. Highly recommend to anyone that thinks the trailer looks fun.

if you are not a fan of hard arcade games i would suggest avoiding, If you are, your in for a treat! To unlock a majority of the achievements it requires using no continues, so just the lives you start with. This can be a near daunting challenge for some but motivation for others. There are no checkpoints in this game to start from, what i mean is you will be starting all of your runs from the very start with it being the same every time depending on what difficulty you have it on. So far it seems predictable what power ups drop in parts of the map or from enemies. The hitbox is very generous with providing an actual little circle over your character showing its hit box when projectiles or walls or enemies are close to it, making threading the needle in tight sections a lot more reliable and constant. Overall a great game.

A really fun and unique arcade style shooting game. Each level has checkpoints and a hidden coin. It is not required to kill all or any enemies in the level. There should be a pacifist achievement for completing a level without dealing damage/ Some levels end when touching a crystal, others the crystal is in a enemy and he must be killed to exit the level. The themes for each zone were vastly different from each other giving it a unique look and feel. Its lack of explanation and jumping right in to the game play is a lot of fun. Things that are red hurt. Its that simple. See spikes? yeah those are probably gonna hurt you. no hand holding just play the game. Im excited for the 2nd game in the series!

Overall a great sequel to the first game. I wish there were different weapons to choose from / unlock. But if you like arcade styled games, this one is a blast! There are checkpoints in every level along with a hidden coin. Multiple themed stages and at the end of that area/theme is a boss. There are improvements like the level select screen showing what stages you collected coins in. A really fun game, id highly recommend if you like medium-hard arcade style games.

Captain McCallery is back at it again with a third episode in the serries. If you enjoyd t he 2nd episode, you will enjoy this one. I found it to be less linear than the others with it allowing back tracking to the start, from almost the end. The food you come across on the planet is unique compared to the other titles. They kept star fruit as a fun exploration way of increasing your health if you can find it. Some are placed within view making you scratch your head as to how to get them, others are hidden. The checkpoints in this game are very generous, if its too easy there is a no check point mode for more challenge. Overall the game was a blast and im excited to see where Episode 4 takes place!Only negative is no steam achievements are unlocking for me, despite beating the game multiple times.

A fun beat em up arcade style game. The checkpoints are very generous making it a enjoyable game rather than frustrating. The bosses are unique and fun, Each one has a secret achievement link'd to it. I like this extra touch of making the game more re playable for stuff you didnt see on your first go around. It was a little buggy but i personaly enjoy that with these games. If you can escape the first level and jump out of bounds, it restarts you at about the mid point of the level, this is a fun time skip if you do it before then. Overall id recommend the game to anyone who thinks the trailer looks appealing.

The captain is back on another planet! i really like how they didnt re-use enemies or exploration items, and introduced a new powerup fruit for increasing health permanently. This is a nice reward to players who want to go and explore the map, or to new players that need the extra HP. In the starting ship, you can read the captians journal to get a recap of what happened in episode one, i think this is a nice touch to those that care about lore, you can also find the robot you saved from the first game in the ship. I hope they slowly keep adding to the ship in each game with things you have done in previous games. Difficulty wise i found this game to be a bit harder than the first episode in the series, but a nice gradual spike, nothing to insane. I was a bit disappointing with the lack of a final boss and teasing the treasure room, to have it end in a cut scene outside the temple. Other than that i would recommend this game along with the first one in the series. Soundtrack was decent again on this one.

easy to pick up and start playing, controls are straight foward. Storyline was good, im excited to see where it goes. Enemies have a very strange and unique look to them. Theres a ton of different items to pick up and use for different stat? bonuses like speed, or no fall damage ect. I like how there was a hidden weapon in the game if you went out of your way to actually explore the planet. Soundtrack was decent. Achievements were a bit buggy with unlocking when i closed the game, but they managed to unlock so im not complaining just pointing it out for future players.
This game is actually a lot of fun to try and speed run, once you know the layout of the game, its fairly short, maybe 10m on a good run, so to try and speed run it and see your time decrease is a lot of fun, the game just has a nice flow that makes you want to keep on playing it.
