Was asked to write a review for THE STEAM AWARDS, so I thought I'd write about what I chose for the GOTY. I'd like to mention that I have played the first one in this series (not all the way through) and enjoy the combat system. I have done Act 1 multiple times and currently on Act 2 with my friends. So to start this whole review, I will start with what I dislike as it went into the second game:

- Round Robin Combat: It makes the whole initiative feel very much like you're just competing with each other to see who goes first.
- Magical and Physical Armor: I'm torn about this because while it adds a new dynamic to the combat, it just ends up making enemies feel like sponges at times rather then adding depth.
- Civil Abilities: Either they don't do much at low level or they lock your character into doing one specific thing. In Multiplayer it's a chore to have one person sell and buy everything because their Barter is better or have one person talk because they'd be able to Persuade out of any circumstance.

And that's pretty much what I dislike, now onto what I like about it:

+ Custom Character Portraits: WAY better then the first, and dependent on how your character looks instead of preset ones.
+ Character Builds are "Free Flow": Basically, you can do whatever the heck you want.
+ Different Races: I don't want to be stuck as a Human all the time...
+ Different Music Selection: Choose an Instrument and that'll be there during the highs and lows of your adventure.
+ Multiplayer: Trolling your friends on a grand adventure is great fun, especially with...
+ Mods: ...mods! You can use mods in a playthrough and just screw about. I especially enjoy the mod that fixes initiative...
+ GM Mode: Have you friends dance in a little game of death and destruction that you created or have downloaded off the workshop
+ Beautiful Graphics: I'm not one to tote about how "c00l gfx boi" stuff, but the game looks good. If the game looks good, it looks good... and this game doesn't just look good. It looks amazing.

All in all, it's a great game to play, especially with friends, and is probably the best game to come out in 2018 on PC. This has been FistofValor and I thank you for reading my review: Have a nice day!
