While the Western game studios and publishers try to tell us we need diversity and none binary trans characters with no personality to be educated on issues they pretend to care about, South Korea said, we know what you like, buffed up male characters in so much armor that you can barely tell if they are human or cyborg and hot women with tons of personality in all the right places, if you know what I mean.

Before anything else, I will admit that I have been playing this game since 2015 when it was only available on mobile, so I may have a little bit of bias due to time investment etc. but I will do my best to be as fair as possible. I will also say that I am entirely free to play in all those years, but due to the time investment still relatively competitive in all types of ranked content.

I will take the positives first,

- There are lots of things to collect for those who enjoy that.
- Relatively simple but does have enough complexity with build creation and counter play to keep you entertained long term.
- Does have regular balance updates and events.
- Can be played entirely free to play with no real issues unless you are super competitive with the PvP and want to be in the top few percentage bracket.
- A decent variety of content to do, multiple types of PvP, guild battles, PvE content.
- Most of the PvE content can be played on auto play so you don't need to do manually fiddle around with the more grindy parts of the game.
- A somewhat cute art style, but if you are looking for a waifu simulator, this is not it.
- Generous new player rewards.

And the negatives,

- Extremely grindy to the degree where you can spend weeks looking for one perfect rune for the build you are trying to set up as an example, or months to years chasing that one 5 star monster you really want.
- Entirely RNG based like any other gatcha style game.
- Your performance in PvP is entirely luck based, as in what monsters you have gotten and how good runes you have gotten.
- Can get extremely expensive if you want to be on the top end of the rankings, prepare your credit card for a lot of swiping if that's your end goal.
- Kind of overwhelming for new players due to there being 10 years worth of content, a lot of different upgrade systems, large pool of monsters with a wide range of use cases.

Final thoughts

If you want something that you can play at the side of doing other things, it's a perfect game due to 80% of it having the option to be auto played, I often leave it farming while I do other things during the day and come back once an hour or so to queue up more. It's not the most new player friendly game out there, and you may have to do some research when you start out, but it's not so complex that I'd call it unfriendly for new players either. Spending money generally depends on how competitive you want to be, and there is really no need at all to be a whale to enjoy it.

If I were to compare it as a game in general and towards everything out there, I'd give it a 6.5/10, but as a casual game that you can play both on PC and mobile with the same account, it's one of the better ones out there and I'd genuinely give it a 9/10 and I would very much recommend it, with the warning that you should be prepared for a lot of grinding and you shouldn't expect to just be handed everything from the start.

There are two kinds of people who won't get endless amounts of entertainment out of Warframe, the people who don't enjoy grinding endlessly, and the people who expect an engaging endgame, as collection, fashion, tinkering with builds etc. is essentially your endgame, there comes a point where any challenge the game offers is gone and the power fantasy takes over.

If I had to list any negatives, I would say that the whole meta slave mentality a lot of people have and promote kind of reduces the amount of fun you can get out of it in case you choose to go down that road and listen. You will be locked into running a few select playstyles with a very small selection of weapons, and it gets stale pretty fast. You are much better off figuring the game out on your own once you understand the basics and come up with your own loadouts. I say this because even if there is a meta that slightly outperforms the rest, there are thousands of other ways to go where you can come within a few percentages of the same damage output with a thousand times more fun to be had.

That being said, it is a good idea to take some time to look into what is absolutely bottom tier and throw those things in the trash once you've leveled them to 30 for the mastery rank xp (this does not apply to the warframes themselves, every warframe is capable of performing, their tier lists are generally based more on their relative strength compared to others, and more often than not only based on personal opinion rather than actual fact). As there are for example weapons in the game which you simply can't get enough damage scaling out of to justify using. If they don't allow you to scale well with either crit nor status effects, you will end up in a situation where you piled resources into something which won't carry you through the early parts of the Steel Path difficulty, things like Sorties, Arbitrations etc. which you will end up having to farm over time to progress.

In conclusion, I would simply say, get out there, do a little research into how to mod builds, learn how to spot which weapons are heading into the trash and which will be your best friends in the name of fun going forward and enjoy the grind.

CS:GO Review
Your average CS:GO experience:

-Queue
-Get teamed up with 4 Russians
-Tilt yourself because they all speak Russian to eachother
-One of them speaks English, he tries to translate for his friends
-Get frustrated because their go to strat is "Go B" round after round
-Get screwed by 64-tick hitreg
-Still addicted enough to play for thousands of hours

10/10 gaming experience

Probably the biggest "value for money" game out there, period.
