Great game for its time, but if you want to pick this up now, it is a bit dated - and is not a great port to PC.

Would highly recommend AC2, which makes a lot of improvements from this.

One of the most annoying aspects is lack of subtitles.

The main character is a whiny androgynous male, but the fact that you can control up to 18 characters, many of which are quite fantastic, at any one time helps cope with this. A very deep and complex game, but unfortunately this depth is quite opaque. The enjoyment is there to be had for anyone inclined but will pretty much require a guide and wiki at hand to get the most out of it.
