EDIT 11/10/22: IDsoftware and more specifically Marty Stratton slandered the music composer for DOOM 2016 and Eternal, Mick Gordon. Stratton lied about Gordon not upholding his end of the contract, lied about the nature of the problems with the project, and intentionally withheld payment from Gordon for over 8 months during the project, he also has refused to give Gordon any of the awards for the OST. While the root level anticheat was removed, the treatment of artists and contractors who make games like this possible can NOT be ignored. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. DO NOT SUPPORT ID SOFTWARE. Until Marty is fired, Mick paid, and a formal apology issued by Idsoftware please speak with your wallet and refuse to buy anything they produce, especially this franchise. You can find Mick Gordon's formal statement with proof of their wrong doing with a simple google search.

Sadly I can not advise anyone to get this game. while fun, they decided they were going to use a level 0 anti-cheat. What this means is that your computer is giving full access to EVERYTHING to this program. This shady, poorly written program that has been compromised before. If compromised every computer with this program installed will be at risk of all data being compromised.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS GAME ON YOUR SYSTEM. IT IS ESSENTIALLY MALWARE. IF YOU HAVE JUST PURCHASED THIS GAME, REFUND IT.
