A fun game to play with friends, the artstyle is comfy and the building aspect is pretty nice. Collecting stuff is kinda boring until you get an automatic tnt factory, then it just turns into a race of who can crash the game first

the game had a great idea, crashing into a planet and exploring a giant ocean but it still wasnt that interesting for me. I got bored of the base building aspect really fast as you cant really create anything of your own, just push compartments together. there really wasnt much of freedom in building stuff imo.

The ocean seemed interesting and scary at first but after 10 hours I noticed its not really that big afterall and I stopped finding anything new at that point.

The story was ok, interesting the whole way trough but nothing that major that happened apart from the ending, that was really interesting. Also all exept 1 achievement is tied to the story so its really easy to 100% this game, a small bonus for the stats on my steam page from this game :D.

I would say its an ok game. The side guests got a little bit boring but the story was fun. The real problems I had with this are the usual stuff like horses going in weird directions if you hit a wall or a tree with it, people being in the way all the time, people falling trough the map, parkour aspect being kinda weird because I didnt notice the climbable ledges etc that easily...

I wanted to get all the achievements for this and it was fun at first but after like 10 hours of grinding it started to get boring, in every location it was always the same stuff.

Some of the puzzles were nice though, really liked those.

I would say this was a 2.5/5 for me, would recommend but not for achievement hunting, just play trough it once and thats it

Valheim is one of the best survival/building type games in a long time. The building is nice with all the building durability stuff, weather affecting your buildings, mobs possibly breaking your buildings etc. You can never be really safe, not even in your base, theres always a chance of a troll event and they just breaking everything.

It also has a nicely balanced grinding aspect for building and crafting. If you want to build a big base you will need to grind materials for hours and that makes it feel alot more nice once your base or items are done.

The combat is working nicely with every weapon using a different amount of stamina and bows shooting "harder" with every upgrade. You can really feel like upgrading a bow for example changes something because the arrow is flying faster than with the old bow.

Its also nicely balanced (mostly) because to get new gear you need to kill the next boss to get items to harvest items for better gear, not like minecraft etc where you can be stacked with diamond gear in the first 2 hours. Here you really need to grind to get better gear.

Its also nice that even though copper gear is literally the first real gear you get you still need copper in the late game for building and crafting, nothing is truly useless in this game.

The problems I got are mostly with world generation, you can skip bonemass (the third boss) if you want to by just looking on the yops of the mountains to find silver ore poking out of the ground. If you manage to find enough its possible to fully skip bonemass this way.

Also some biomes further out from the centre of the map are kinda weird. Sometimes you can come across black forest biomes that are the size of a small apartment for some reason.

I still would suggest buying this game if you like grinding, building and exploring a gigantic world that never seems to end. Really liked this, 4.5/5

Alot of nice things: Well made puzzles that really needed some thinking (or Im just dumb), nice storyline, sometimes pretty annoying parts that were nice once you knew how to solve them. 3.5/5 would suggest
