Playing Persona 4 again really drives home to me just how good of an rpg it is. The Dungeon's aren't nearly as fun and unique as the ones in Persona 5, due to their nature of being random generated floors much like the Mementos is in P5, but the fights shine just as much and sometimes outshine those in its successor. The social links feel very personal and tell very fullfilling and complete stories that really get me invested in the characters they involve. Only a few of the characters in this story I find flat or annoying which is a testament to its writing as there are a LOT of characters in this game that all have their own little stories and hangups to experience. The story moves a satisfying and active pace and it really feels like the team in this game are working hard to figure out a mystery bigger than themselves instead of just reacting to situation as they happen, which is more than I can say for a lot of other mystery rpgs. Really enjoyed this game far more than I expected to considering I had played the original Persona 4 back when I was a kid.
