As someone that plays a ton of narrative focused indie games, sometimes I feel I have seen it all. Observer was a breath of fresh air. Amazingly produced, interesting mechanics (it is way more than a walking simulator), rewards exploration and really makes you feel hooked up in the world the authors created. The story is great, the horror elements are very well put in place, and it really brings up deep questions that make you feel the game is playing you as much as you are playing the game. Bonus points for being as trippy as taking a bowl of acid during certain sections of the game, but without ever breaking the immersion or the flow.

Hopefully now that everyone is super hyped with the cyberpunk theme, Observer will get the attention it deserves. It is indeed a must play for both the fans of the genre, and a great example of the hundreds of masterpieces indie devs have been creating the past decades.

One of the best concepts out there. The story might not be amazing, and it could use a bit more polish, but the gameplay and the mechanics are superb. Take your time to understand the game, experiment (there are tones of text based and video based tips and tutorials, the game does not hold your hand but gives you all the tools you need to make it a enjoyable experience with no roadblocks).

Im running it with a GTX 1060 6gb, and I did not notice any issues regarding poor optimization, so either it has been patched, or with modern equipment it is not an issue anymore.

If it feels repetitive, it is simply cause your build needs a few retwinks and/or upgrades. For the same reason Diablo would feel boring to play if you don't put your brain in the skills and gear you use.

One of the most unique games I have ever played. As for today, it is a 9/10.

Beautiful game, but barely no game mechanics whatsoever, and took me 1h30 to finish. You can predict the outcome of the story during the first 45min... It is nice for people who are new to this genre, but for anyone else that played Layers of Fear and stuff like that, it is just not worth...
