Is this game worth the price as it currently stands?

Short answer: No. Not yet. If you are willing to buy in early to support the developer, and bet that the game will get continued support, go ahead and get it. Or if you fell in love with the concept and is willing to pay quite a bit for a buggy and downright incomplete game. It really should right now be selling as early access, not as a finished product.

Else, I'd recommend waiting until it's more polished and/or on sale.

Has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of work to reach it. Even disregarding bugs, the game is full of issues in terms of balance, UI, and general quality of life stuff, to the point where I can't really recommend it, even though there's a lot of potential to be had in it.

You'll either achieve Zen in the repeated attempts at later puzzles or throw your controller and break things in anger at them. If you are the first kind, this game is for you.

On one hand, it's pretty mediocre, and have been unfinished for so long it might as well be abandoned.

On the other, what there is of the game is fun enough, even if not for long, and hey, you probably have bought small pieces of candy that were more expensive than this game.

Great potential hampered by terrible unintuitive and awkward controls. Furthermore the "realistic" fighting is having the characters swing the weapon one side to the other like they were immersed in syrup and hadn't even heard of the concept of "technique" and "skill", or, alternatively, an overcommited overhead swing with even less idea of said concepts.

The physics engine is not too bad but just having a good physics engine is of no use if not only the movements are terrible and limited in the first place but also ridiculously and unnecessarily difficult to have your character do what you want among the limited options there are.

To make things worse, if the techniques and movements are improved but the controls don't get fixed at the same time, actually trying to fight will be an exercise in frustration while grappling with the terrible controls and any success far from any actual realism in combat, instead being how to better shake around the ragdoll on wires to beat the other ragdoll on wires.

If the controls get fixed, and hopefully they will, this should be a great game, specially if they actually do include actual technique, but right now the game is not worth it unless you want bet on future improvements.

Paid mods are gone, and now I can say once again, the game is worth it, specially if you mod it to your desires.

Not worth the money, even if you want to pay to have an easier game. Its bonus are simply not that good. Use it if you got the season pass, but otherwise ignore this DLC.

It's a good game, but there is one major consideration to make: It's a slow game, if are not very patient you WILL have a bad time with this game. That said, it's a good grand strategy simulator, and if that's what you are looking for, go for it.

You will lose your life as the hours pass without you noticing.

Awesome take on the JRPG genre.
