Early Access Review
Who knew a game about washing dirty things could be fun. But it is! And more importantly, it's relaxing and satisfying.

This is a game for when you just want to take it easy for a bit, but also play something. It doesn't require great deals of concentration, so you could play it while watching something else on a second screen or talk to your friends over your preferred voice chat or maybe even just listen to some music on the side.

It has a career mode, so there is a sense of progression and all of the little dings and flashes you get cleaning surfaces help retain that video game feel. New missions are unlocked through some quite humorous messages and you can jump between new locations whenever you feel like it. And wow are there many locations to visit and wash things at. I certainly wasn't expecting nearly 40 hours worth of stuff to do. Although I didn't use as much soap to speed up cleaning as I maybe could have, and by the time of this writing, the fourth and most powerful washer wasn't available yet. I noticed the further along I went, the slower it got to get things fully cleaned. Ah well, not that I was in a hurry anyway.

If you are like me and saw someone else play this game, and it perhaps looked like a silly idea at first, yet you were still curious, then by all means, give PowerWash Simulator a try and wash things to your heart's content.

Fun platformer from the golden age of Apogee games. The HD version is very faithful to the original Crystal Caves in both look and feel. The new fourth episode is well made and fits nicely with the original trilogy of episodes, and it doesn't feel like something extra that was hastily slapped on top of an existing package. Finally, as a cherry on top, you get an excellent soundtrack to go with your crystal collecting adventures.

You're trapped in a strange place where people don't like strangers. Right from the beginning, you're free to go just about anywhere you want, but a quick death awaits a careless adventurer. So you explore (carefully), get your butt kicked, work for people to gain their trust, explore some more and get your butt kicked again.

It may have a different name, but it's Gothic both in good and bad. Progression and setting is very similar to Gothic 1, so much so that you could almost call it a remake. Also much like Gothic 1, it gets slightly boring towards the end, due to the game limiting your options and sort of pushing you to do just this one thing. Some side quests still exist, but you may have to look for them a little harder in later chapters. You also spend a lot of time underground in dreary dungeons, which isn't as fun as exploring the colorful above ground areas.

The game also has some nice atmospheric music to go with the scenery. Take a moment to stop and listen the music the next time you're in Harbor Town.

Highly recommended. Excellent game with fair bit of challenge and lots and lots of replay value due to the heavy random element. If you like top down Zelda-esque games and/or twin stick shooters, give this one a try.
